Hello there. I have read Sophie Kinsella's series of Shopaholic and it is hilarious. And so is- Can you keep a secret by the same author. I'd appreciate the funny book recommendation. Thanks..

Hello, I've never read a book funnier than Jerome K. Jerome's 'Three Men in a Boat'. You'll find it in project Gutenburg's site for free. Just download and read them. Recently I've been reading P.G.Wodehouse, but nothing compares to J.K.Jerome. Thanks. God Bless you.

Now what is a tak tak? A tiger never makes a sound like that, of course if it's not eating chicken burger.

I don't read a lot of funny books, but one series that I really liked and was humorous was Meg Cabot's Heather Wells series. The books in the series are 'Size 12 Is Not Fat', 'Size 14 Is Not Fat Either' and 'Big Boned'. They are about Heather Wells, former pop star, turned resident assistant at a college dorm. I thought they were quite funny. I haven't read any of Meg Cabot's books, but I'm guessing they're probably similar (she is the 'Princess Diaries' author, so some of her stuff is geared a bit younger, but the Heather Wells ones, I think, are geared a bit older).

Hey kel1483. I've heard about Meg Cabot. I haven't read any of her books yet, I thought she was more of a teenager chick lit type. I am probably wrong. Still, browsing around the bookstore wit so many to choose from, it does get overwhelming. :) and if it is up to me, I'd buy it all. There is the other choice of Library, either way .

I don't know if you'd like Dave Barry's type of humor, but his novel Big Trouble is very funny.

How about Neil Simons Biloxi Blues? I saw the movie first then read the book. The book is in a form of transcript though.

Hmm, I'm not sure if you're looking for chick lit or just funny books in general. As far as chick lit goes, I always liked Jane Green. For dark, but very witty, satirical humor, I really really love Christopher Moore.
