Would you look to work part time if you did well online?

I want to know what you think about this. If you were earning a decent amount of money online would you want to try to cut back your hours at work?, Is it something you have done?. What would be the point where you were tempted?

All I can do right now is work online. Well I do have a couple of students I tutor one evening a week. I keep thinking if I can get enough going on line when I can go back to work I might not have to!

Thanks for the response. I certainly think that earning online is something that can help anyone out. Good luck.

Yeah, it's slow, but it is coming in so I can't complain! And it only costs me time to do it and that I have!

When I started earning online I wanted to cover the cost of my internet connection and then went from there. I am now doing alright but not quite at the point where I would cut my hours yet.

I wouldn't cut back my hours, actually. I really love my job! I also really love the people I work with. Making money online is AWESOME, but it lacks the physical socialness that working in the workplace has. I love that part of work :) Plus, I'd be getting double the moneeeeey ;)

Thanks for your response. I tend to agree with you on those points. I think I would miss a little bit of the social side as your colleagues might be talking about something that happened while you were not working so you would not know what they were on about. Also if you could keep up with your online earnings and still work full time then you would be getting extra.

Oh yes..I don't want to work as hard as I have to right now for the rest of my life. If I had the chance to make decent money and do what I love...I would jump on that train in a heartbeat. When my children get older...I will be checking in to other options. I am working to provide for them right now. I have to make sure the money is appropriate. Things will be very different later down the road..lol.

Oh, definitely a no. Unless it was stable money, but it's always usually a gamble with online earnings, especially if you're depending on referrals (which is pretty much the only way to earn big, if you ask me). I have never been tempted. I dont' love my "IRL" job but I would never quit it in lieu of any kind of online prospects, I would just do it additionally. I need a steady, stable income, plus I would HATE being cooped up in my house all day!

Thanks for your response. I know what you mean, It can be varied online, sometimes you can earn but then other times you might need to wait a while for payment.

I dont know. The income would have to be enough to cover my monthly expenses and be able to put up money in savings. My biggest thing to keep me at my current employment is my health benefits. I have a husband and three young children. So as much as I hate my job and the pay is ridiculous I need the good benefits that I receive. So I'm torn.

Thanks for the response. It's something that might be quite hard to do because not many workplaces will be able to have you cut your hours like that. I would only do it if I had a chance of upping my hours again in that job or another.

Yes, I suppose I would. But I do not earn enough yet to be able to do it, to be honest. Maybe at some point in the future!

Thanks for the response. I suppose it's always a goal you could have in the back of your mind.

Working online is my goal. I can then take my work with me anywhere I go. It's pretty cool now to load my laptop on my motorcycle and take off anywhere I choose and still be productive. Hey you gotta have dreams.

Thanks for the response I agree, that's the great thing about working online.

Well, I have to say that I earn little money online, no question to live with it. But even if I had a good income I would continue to work at full time. I was a housewife for 6 years after I had my daughter - it's not a big fun to stay home.

Thanks for the response. I can understand wanting to stay in work as earning online is not as comfortable as working full time.
