Will you get a flu shot this year? Why or why not? I got one last year but that was just because my work paid for it. I don't know about this year. I havent been sick in a long time so I probably will not get one.

No I will not. I think flu shots are only a scheme from pharmaceutical companies to gain more money. I don't trust then that much. I think they are the ones who invented the H1N1 scares last year so that the government will give them money to create a vaccine. I think as long as you are healthy and eat nutritious food, you will be fine. and if ever you got this flu and your immune system is strong you will get well without doctor's fee. But that is only my belief. I do not encourage anybody to do what I do or believe what I believe. If you fill at peace when you have the shot there is nothing wrong with that.

I'd get a free one if it was offered, but I am not going to pay money for one. I dont think they are all that necessary.

I don't think I ever had a flu shot since whenever years ago. I just never think of getting one. In my opinion, if you don't get sick very often and if you exercise and try to eat more healthy, a vaccination may not make that much of a difference. If you tend to get sick a lot, flu shot is probably u should go for. G.

I got mine a week ago yesterday, what was that... the 4th? I try to get my shot every year, I remember one year I didn't and had a 102.3ยบ fever - not very safe for a person nearing or just past 40, and I think it peaked higher. Lets put it this way, I got sick in August, and I was COLD.

I did...it was a free shot for employees in our company. So it was one of those benefits that I'm thankful of having.

I'm definitely not taking a shot this year! Last year, our company also paid for our flu shot so I took it. Maybe it didn't work out well for me because all the more I got sick often. For months I had bouts with flu-like symptoms and with vertigo, too! So, this year, when they offered the shot, I didn't take it.

I had the flu shot last year, and I will take it this year too. It is available free of charge here. I think I should have it because I do alot of traveling in the country and overseas too. It is better to have the protection than not having it especially when traveling.

I will not get one this year. I've had one several years ago and still got the flu. :p Although it can protect you from many types of the flu, there are still types that can make you ill. So I don't really trust the effectivness of it. Greetings
