Every where i look on the net every one is trying to find out whats is the best tablet out there. ever computer company i know developing a high end tablet to compete in the tablet market. they say its the next big thing and i thing they are right it is the next big thing. every computer hardware are develop to be smaller and more powerful to put it to powerful mobile device. they have tried everything they make smaller laptops to be more mobile but it is still to big to carry around. then they make a cellphone to act like a computer but it was to small. but tablet is just right it is not to small nor to big to carry around. it is a perfect fit. and i think it is the future of computer.

Hi there: In our jungle, I haven't even seen one. Desktops are still the hottest thing here. It may remain like for the next ten years or so. Not even notebooks, they're far too expensive. I don't think tablets could dominate the information technology for the meantime. They're rare, cute, hip, high end and the common man could not just afford it. Not even in the near future, at least for us here far from civilization.

there are actually tablets made by Chinese companies that have the same capability as other highend tablet but its very cheap they said you can even get a $100 tablet thats way cheaper than desktop. as you all know apple sold 2million+ ipad tablet after just acouple of months till it was released.

I can't be sure about that because here in Brazil for example no one have tablet because is too expensive and is rare see someone selling! I know that tablet can be a real thing for users but, i think that is far away to happend in all world! Will take sometime to people start to buying and trusting in tablet to let it go desktops and notebooks. I will love to have one tablet but it's only a dream hahaha! See you!

in reality i am not really so happy about tablets i can see now on the market also because many brands launched an hybrid device and not really a computer so in many cases these devices can be related to smartphone where there is a better display but not really to an ultraportable notebook. If you count that normally the processor is really weak as ram and memory too,in many cases tablets live on the mobile markets,as regards softwares, common to smartphones and not really to regular softwares i can use on a normal pc!! So now tablets are an hybrid not so useful because they enable really low elaboraton power..so if you want play games or make some simple stuffs online tablets can be ok but if you need a more powerful device on the go you should stay away from these devices.I still like more notebook than tablets.Hoping that these can be more and more portable than now with an high end configuration.

Tablets have been around for years and are not all that new. IBM has had them for as long as I can remember. As for it being the future I don't think so as desktops will still be able to have more power than a tablet can have also laptops have their place as typing on a screen can be difficult as the screen would need to be fairly large. Tablets really only work well for artist and that is why they are perfect for the Apple market. Which is mostly graphic designers who would love to be able to draw on the screen. Also the tablet market has grown very little when compared to Netbooks or Laptops as these are still the mainstay for many people. As they are small and have just as much power as a PC in most cases. but if you are looking for the most power and ability to run high graphics you can't beat a PC as it will always be able to out do a tablet and that is why a lot of graphics are still made on the bigger and not very portable Desktop. But Tablets and netbook/laptops are for the person traveling so your average consumer my pick one up but there isn't much of a reason to pick up a tablet unless you are drawing on your PC and don't want to use a tablet you can get for your PC.

yes i know but tablets then are still very bulky, tablets now is thin very thin and lightweight. it is more appealing to more people. and tablet then is very expensive but now there are so many tablets in the market its cheap. and all the developments its not going to be that long before it will become as powerful as a desktop. yes desktop and laptops still have there places but. people want to buy a device that is as powerful as a desktop that can carry then wherever they go. thats what I'm going to buy. I can feel it here there are many people selling their mac book to get an apple ipad.

with the era of IPad,tablets are currently the "It" thing to gadget lovers.tablets actually started way,way back, but it's not as commercialized as it is now.also, the current look of tablet is more marketable than its predecessor.a lot of functionalities are added to make the current tablets "cooler" to attract more consumers.

Tablets are probably the next big trend, not the next big thing. They already existed before the iPad, but the difference is that Apple is better at merchandise them: now everyone feel like a iPad is the better thing in the world, but fo me they are pretty useless. They don't really do anything more than any laptop... and anything better. Ok, it can be nice to carry around one of them, but if you really need to work "on the road", a laptop is still the better way to go. That's for me, of course.
