It was a brave gesture to adopt a dog with problems. I congratulate you for your courage and patience. It seems your little friend became quite attached to you, and this is good. I had a dog with some problems with fear. She was afraid of loud noises and there was a time when she associated the loud noises with children and she became afraid of children, too. With a lot of patience we got rid of this fear of kids. You should try to get your little companion used to children, by exposing him to children, gradually.

I applaud you for adopting a dog. So many people these days just buy puppies from pet stores and all those poor abandoned ones are forgotten. I'm glad for you too that he's getting better, and thankyou for helping dogs in need! (:

It's so great of you to help such a small creature who is in need. It may be a small incident for some people, but for this puppy, it means the world to him. I hope he gets better soon and grow up to be a healthy and cheerful boy. Post his picture someday so we can see how is he doing now.

AWWWW!!!!! You're too kind, if only there were more people like you around tht world. Maybe then it wouldn't be such a bad place. Hopefully he gets better over time. There's no doubt he's been traumatized but hopefully it's like they say time heals all. Also I'm glad you decided to share your story as it raises awarness to the situation.

Alot of small dogs shake. My dog used to shake quite a bit when he was young as well. I think that he is an insecure dog. He got quite a bit better in terms of his nerves though as he has aged. It might take a while for your dog to calm down.

Cheers to you for adopting an animal in need. It definitely sounds like he was not socialized in his previous environment, and new things- such as new people, noises, situations- will be sure to frighten him. It sounds like you are doing a great job with him so far, Shiella.

Hi! Good for you for rescueing a dog in need! You are a fantastic person! I wish more people would do similar! I have two rescue dogs and work with a Pug rescue. There are so many dogs in need. It sounds like he is doing fantastic for only two months. Many rescue dogs take literally years to get over their fears. You are obviously doing a great job! Thank you for being such a caring person and may your wonderful example prompt others to do the same!
