first day of work, what's your experience?

Do you remember your first day of work? I'm a new board passer nurse. I applied in one of the hospital in our placed was hired. Yesterday, was my first day of duty as a registered nurse. I forget most of the things to do in the exposure. My last exposure in hospital was during my student days. Then came the graduation, review, and wait for the result. So, well its been quite a long time since I was expose in hospital duty. I always ask questions to the staff nurse there. So what's your experience in your first day of work?

My first day working was pretty cool. I was going to work in a seafood retail/wholesale shop. I was very nervous for the job and nervous about the people I would be working with. I quickly learned and picked up everything and got pretty good at it. And I soon became good friends with my co workers and very good friends with my boss. Over a year later, I still work there along with another job and I still enjoy it and enjoy the people I work with.

The first day at work for me was alright, although it was boring - I didn't actually get to WORK on my first day of work, really. I just go to read employee handbooks, booklets, sign papers, and so on. It was always the 2nd day that was the more exciting day (and that held true for 3 jobs!)

First few hours of my first day of work is orientation. I was toured around the hospital for familiarization of places. The hospital is not quite big as other hospital because it is only a district hospital. People there are very friendly although some are not. It was nice experience there.
