I have seen it on the news. Isabela was the most devastated among all the provinces in Northern Luzon. I will pray that those people in Isabel will be able to recover. Help is already coming for them. And it is really good to see people helping out one another. We were far from the typhoon but its windy and its raining also here in our place. I hope the government do its job to help those who lost their homes. I saw that there are many rice fields that were also affected. There will be a huge crisis for rice. Since Northern Luzon is a big supplier of rice here in the country. The typhoon carried strong winds that uprooted many trees along with electric posts. I hope that our country will recover soon.

I am not in the Philippines so I didnt experience the wind or rain. But oh how I miss rain... It's been almost a year since we had one here. How come it's called Megi in the news and Juan there? I've been arguing with my officemate about the storm's name this morning because I only heard and read Megi in the news. Nothing about Juan up until now.

The reason why this happened because our own local weather fore cast have it's own initiative, to name out incoming storms even though it has already an international name. don't worry i got confused too on this and i just couldn't believe such really can be done. it makes me wonder why can they just used the International name instead of creating it's own name, that would have been too easy

hi chipesterkhan I am glad your sib ling came through the typhoon unhurt. We are having a hard rain here in Southern Californina but its not disastrous just hard we really needed it as last winter we had hardly' any rain. There was a thunder and lightening storm, with it but amazingly the lights did not go out thank goodness. If the lights go out usually I have to reset the router and modem to get back on the net.

typhoon - one of the worst
Hello chipesterkhan, I almost didn't at all and the reason was i need to do a lot mylotting activities since i was lacking effort.but at the sametimes i got distracted from other things. I remember last night it was one hell of a storm. rains were strong but i just continue mylotting because i needed something to finish. the strong winds was only over around 4 in the morning, despite of the following low intensity rains.i don't know why i couldn't sleep.probably because of the horror movie that i just watched

Here in Laguna we have experienced heavy rains and strong wind. We are scared. I don't want to experience another Ondoy. Yesterday I have filled almost 30 empty bottles with water in case of emergency. Flashlight are ready and candles, but most especially prayers. Thank God! Reported on news later this night 'announced' that hopefully the TY Juan will leave the country by tomorrow. I want rain but not strong Typhoons. I want to feel the wind together with rain against my face but strong that could destroy our belongings. I pray that enough rain be given to supply adequate water, to avoid drought and to shower the soil with blessings.

that's good to hear that your brother is okey. I to was very worried because I was traumatized by the typhoon ONDOY last year. I had rented a room in cainta, rizal and it is the most shocking experience ever yet. I am glad that my family and my little angel are okey because baguio city was hit by typhoon juan last sunday and monday as well. We have to pray to the Lord that we are all okey :)

Typhoon is really scary, when I was still in my gradeschool, my home province (Surigao) always ravaged with typhoon and we would transfer to a safer building. So this typhoon Juan is not new to me, but I am very thankful that I am now living in Davao City which is typhoon-free. I am hoping that people in the affected area especially in your home province Isabella are safe now. Just pray hard that everything will be okay.

Typhoon Juan reminds me so much of typhoon Ondoy. Though the rains aren't that heavy, the rain is still constant. Good thing too that the dams are not full. Last night, during rush hour, the winds were so strong. You can see the tiny drops of rain shaping the contours of the wind. It's an amazing sight to look at, but still, you'll feel how powerful mother nature is.

this is one of the scariest typhoons we had recently, pretty much like Ondoy. having to survive a night of heavy rains and ghastly winds is really a blessing. just a few hours ago, we went to work and saw all the shops and business offices in our street closed. we opted to do the same as it can really be scary to be staying out of our homes. signal here in our place is at number 3 already so i really feel bad for those in northern luzon who are having stronger storm signals...

Very scary typhoon indeed! Our place is the exit point of the typhoon and until now the wind is still whistling and blowing debris here and there. I just hope and pray that it will calm down soon so that we will have peace of mind, and that there will be no more black outs.
