Best chips? traditional chippy or fast food chain....

I must confess to being a bit of a chip snob. I love good, big, solid fella's....closer to wedges than chips. My partner prefers the thinner (possibly more crunchy) chips from fast food outlets. To me.... thinner chips means more fat in the bag!

Chips, like french fries? Sorry, I am American. I can't help it. I really am actually not a big fan of fries, or chips, or whatever (lol) just because they're too greasy. But every once in a while I'll go to Burger King and get some of their fries, which are OK (although horrible for your health). What ones are good are the ones made out of potatoes and are home-made, not sure if there's a name for them, but they're big wedges and taste a lot better than salty greasy fast food fries! lol
