We know that except those studies, there are some more things to do in life and that are extra curricular activies. What activies do you do? And at what level have you played. Did you started as a student in any school or college.

I did and I don't regret it- I have a very low grade average at university, yet, thanks to those extra curriculars I was able to learn lessons in values and grow in a way which helped me ace jobs in a better way than other people with better grades than mine. :)

Besides, you learn to work and do your work for the sake of doing it, and you truly learn to put yourself in what you do. :)

I used to go to drum lessons, and eventually bought a kit and practiced a lot. Eventually I lost interest for about a year or two, and just recently, a few months ago I became interested again. I sold my drum kit, to get a better, more expensive drum kit which is electronic - meaning I can record with it much more easily, and I can play to .wav song files, as well as use a variety of different preset kits which the electronic module includes. For those who have never played the drums, you may think that electronic drums are probably not very good or realistic, but if you get the advanced ones with mesh pads, like the Roland TD-9KX which I bought, they are extremely realistic and worth the money. Apart from that, I don't think I have ever done extra curricular activites such as other lessons or sports. When I was very young I went to basketball training for a few weeks, but found that it was not worth it to wake up so early on the weekends for matches. :)

Nice :) Yeah I know what you mean, I often try things and get bored really easily and just lose interest.

I think then you must have been good at playing drums. I never participated in any type of extra-curricular activity in my college but i loved to play cricket but now i don't have any interest in playing it anymore. Thanks for your response.

when i was a student, i was active in extra-curricular activities. i joined several organizations that have my interests. for example, hiking and environment are popular among students. religious organizations too are good groups to belong to. as a student, there is a sense and longing to belong to a group. i think these groups have exciting activities all year for their members. these groups always lent a support to me when i needed it. i miss my school days.

I wanna know what do you do in hiking, is it hiking mountains? If yes them it must have been exciting i think, extra-curricular activities also help you to fetch good marks here in my country and also you don't neet to attend lectures during the activities and you get full attendance for that. :-) Thanks for your response.

I am not a sports figure so I did not take part to any sport activities. Usually I helped in the kitchen, we have to cook for the athletes. Sometimes I joined dance group as it is mandatory that the whole class well perform or dance during school festivities. It has + points or exempted for exam so even I don't know how to dance I just move my body.

Ok, maybe because you are not keen to anything like that anymore. The same situation is with me , i am also not interested in them anymore, i just like to watch cricket on television but i am not really keen about playing it by myself. Thanks for your response.

I joined concert band. It was really tough. T_T Even though it's tough, I had much fun during times like... going on a oversea trip, camps... hehehe.

I never cared that much to participate in anything to do with school beyond the school itself. I'm sure it might have been an interesting experience but I could not get interested enough. When I was going to school, I was there eight hours a day and when you add homework on top of that, that is really enough of the time that I needed for my school. Perhaps I might have had circumstances been differently. Still, I would rather focus on my studies and that lead to good grades. That is just one of those things that I never really got interested in for various reasons, including the fact that I had enough of school and authority figures by the end of the day at various points in my life. I was far from the only one who had this attitude but it was a different time I think for me in my life.

well as a student and as a citizen in my our own countries it's really important to attend to some extra curricular activities. it's not always "just for fun" its also about learning something..things that can help us grow into mature models in our country. As the saying goes "EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER" On my own observation and based on experience as well, these extra curricular activities really helped a lot. take for example, being one of the festival dancers in my contingent helps me learn and preserve the beauty and wonders of my culture,i also learned how to speak my native language. these extra curricular activities also help us with interacting and socializing with others, which is very important in our day to day living and of course when we will have jobs already (COMMUNICATION) like the SCOUTING you can learn many things from it..household chores and surviving the world below the vast sky here's the tip : for better or best results if you wanna join an extra curricular activity be sure to put all your heart to it..no turning backs nor any complaints...always love whatever you're doing
