Why would it be not real? what is real? Is real limited to our senses? How does logic come to play when we decide what is real? Do you think imaginations are real?

No life isn't limited to our five senses. But there are many things we Think we see that are not real. And some " real" things Still can't believed.

This reminds me of that question, "If tree falls in a forest & nobody's around to hear it, did it make a sound?". I guess there's a technical answer to everything. By the definition in a strictest sense, noise is nothing more than a vibration of the air that our ears pick up & translated by our brain. In that case, at what point does it become a sound or a noise? When the air starts to vibrate or when our brain translate that vibrabtion & make sense of it. If viberation alone is sound, then it starts as soon as vibration starts. Weather we are there to hear it or not, when the tree falls, act of falling tree, along with others, does vibrate the air around it there for the sound exist. Or to be more precise, it did make a sound. Taking that one step further, what is real? Do we have to pick up with one of our senses for something to be real? Do we have to be able to see it, feel it, taste it, hear it, and/or smell it for it to be real? If that's the case, then if a man falls & breaks his arm but somebody in Africa didn't see it, does that mean the pain of that man doesn't exist because this Afircan man didn't see him fall, hear him fall, feel his arm break? Does the fallen man exist at all because somebody in Florida, U.S hasn't seen him through his entire life. What's real? I think it's a very subjective term. What's real to someone may not be real to others. Pain of broken arm is a real thing to the person who fell, but not to someone who hasn't broken a single bone in his body in his entire life. Matter in fact, reality seize to exist when I die because I seize to feel, hear, smell, see, taste anything. To people who are alive, life is real as it comes. That's why you'll get a different answer when you ask a question like "what's real?". Reality is different for just about everyone.

Actually I am fully aware of what you are speaking of and it is actually what I want. I want different point of views. I don't like one sided discussions, it's pointless. I think you missed the question or you just went off topic a bit. Do YOU think imaginations are real? Please don't answer for everyone. There is a reason why I put "YOU" in the question. Hopefully you can figure that out.

I belong to a dream study group that follow a similar principle, that the dream world, since it is experienced, is just as real as the world we experience while awake. In fact, one of our members submitted a day in her life as a dream to see how we would have analyzed it if it was a dream! Yes, the imagination is a part of the real world as well. Panic attacks are an excellent example. Nothing physical is around that is threatening us, but still we have the emotional reaction of fear, at least for me. A fantasy of a more illicit nature makes me just as aroused as actual experience. Self-hypnosis is one tool that can be used to change your feelings and reactions, and the way I understand it, it is dependent on one's imagination to work.

If you think about it frequently and for a long time, it maybe become true! It's real! But if you only image about it, I'm not sure it can be real in the future.

Huh gorrilla i know youre a smart and thiking person and dang! youre almost the same age as me, but you sure like messing with people, thes questions isnt something everyone can even understand properly ;)) Aside that , heres my opinon in 5 minutes.Well about imagination, before the feeling or an action come imagination in youre mind. When being in contact with something from outside ( i think thats what you ment with real ) its your imagination that works co-works with it again. When asking is it real.. only way to answer is by yourself. Like ill throw you with a snowball you have to answer me did you take it as ( your self understood) reality. There are ussualy two so called realities, the one inside youre mind , and the one other people see, and there are times when they differ . If you asked me those two realities by digging further can be the same thing but explaining liek this is easy to understand. If you dont want to hear about that king of reality and want the reality behing everything , like that a thing is being like something no matter how anyone sees it, that is just a feeling , u cant realy state it , because youre not the world( everything that exists) , you cant be .But having it I think is great, it keeps you sharp :)). Im pretty lame with words but hope you can understand, Im not even native english speaker :))))
