Is Virat Kholi made his place sure in INDIAs World Cup squad?Does he deserve it?

Yea,virat Kohli will get chance in the squad surely. He have proved his ability to bat out in all situations. He may get chance to play in the playing 11 if 7 batsmen are including in the team. We have SEHwag Gambhir Sachin Raina Yuvi Dhoni made their playe 90% sure. Also Rohit Sarma,Vijay will also compete with Kohli If there is some injury then He may get chance

Well India needs talented Batsman like him mate and he certainly deserves place in the side.If you see records India has won more matches with seven genuine batsman in their side than playing 6 batsman , 4 bowlers and some player who can bowl and bat a bit like Yusuf Pathan and Jadeja (I wont call them all-rounders).Even in 2003 world cup India went in with seven batsman and were successful.You take match in which Tendulkar scored 175 yet India was on losing side because Jadeja got out early , if a genuine batsman like Kohli was playing India would have won the match for sure, also in last match against Aussies if there was Jadeja instead of Tiwary when India lost 5 wickets and needed some 35 runs in six overs India may have lost that match.Not only Jadeja even when Yusuf Pathan was playing India lost many matches for the same reason.Yuvraj certainly can bowl better than Jadeja and Yusuf Pathan.One should not waste player like Kohli and give him a chance to do well for India , Raina was given chance and also Gambhir and see they are doing wonders for India.Kohli also have it in him to make it big for sure.World cup is in subcontinent where you can go with 4 bowlers with Raina ,Sehwag and Yuvraj can be used as fifth bowler.

I am pretty sure he will make the squad. This was the second time in the recent past that his century has helped in a successful run chase. And he is a good fielder and runner between the wickets. Also he can bowl his dibbly dobblers if required. So all in all he seems to be a good package to have in the squad. In a full strength Indian XI I am not sure whether he will make it to the playing 11, but would give him a fair chance of making it as well. Cheers! Ram

actually this is kinda trend in indian team. when there is a selection,they tend to forget the past and consider only the recent conquests. remember how yuvi got to replace saurav just because he scored 2 centuries in ODI eventhough he was miserable before that innings. 11 more matches to go and 5 in the south african soil and we shall see how the youngster performs but i dont see him in this squad. because sachin,sehwag,gambhir,raina,dhoni picks themselves up. that leaves one batsmen and one so called allrounder spot. with yuvi,rohit,vijay,tiwary fighting for that spot,i see no way but enjoy the time kid

it is highly unlikely that he will play in the world cup since India already have three openers. yes he might still make it to the squad as he is a very talented batsmen. he is definitely the future of Indian cricket but he might play just a limited role if any in the upcoming world cup.

I think yes because he is a very nice batsmen and fielder too. Nowadays he is performing well in each and every match. But still he has to improve his batting style so that he can able to hit big sixes. I think he is almost set for 14 members list but not sure of 11 list.

Yes I think now Virat Kohli is making their place for world cup 2011 squad. Because till now they have made 3 century and all century they have made this year. So I think selection committee will be selecting him for world cup 2011. Because now they are performs well and also in the last match they show they consistency that they have ability to chase any good scores.

Virat Kohli is definitely a better player and deserves a place in 15 man squad for the world cup. whether he will be in the playing eleven or not that important at this stage. You can't expect all fifteen players to be fit all times during one month long world cup so every member of the squad has to get a chance. How to convert that chance into permanent position depends on that particular player.As about playing eleven in the first match considering everybody to be fit has to be Sachin, Sehwag, Gambhir, Yuvraj, Dhoni plus five ballers including one all rounder. If we consider the fifth baller spot to be filled by Yuvraj and Sehwag then additional batsman's place should go to Virat. I think he is better than most of the youngsters in India probables.
