What are the chances of Yuvraj Singh returning to Test team again

I think Yuvraj Singh is a great player. He has been facing fitness problems as a result he was in and out of team. But now young players like Murali Vijay, Cheteshwar Pujara, Suresh Raina coming good in Test, what are chances of Yuvraj Singh making back into Test team. It's going to be very difficult for Yuvraj to break into Test team now. But u never know what can happen in cricket. What r ur views on this.

I think the sequences of events over the past 6 months might have blown away his chances for the test squad. I think the emergence of Raina, Pujara and Vijay makes it very difficult for Yuvraj to come back. But all these three have just played in the subcontinent and need to prove themselves outside India and the key test would be South Africa. Especially Raina whose troubles with the short ball is well documented.
So I would wait for a couple of overseas series before I write the obituary of Yuvraj's test career.

Yes you have made a very valid point regarding proving outside subcontinent. Raina, Pujara and Vijay haven't played outside subcontinent and its going to be a real test for them playing overseas. If these players can perform well in South Africa then it will be very difficult for Yuvraj to make into Test team.

He played a good innings in the 2nd ODI.
Also played well in the domestic,scored a 200 recently.
So I think he will come back to the test team surely.
But if he gets who will go out??? Raina???

Yes with the competition so good, every youngsters making the most of the opportunity that's given to them, its difficult for Yuvraj to get in Test team. Yuvraj is slowly coming in form and when in form there is no match winner like Yuvraj. Hope he gets in Test team.

I agree with you that Raina should be given more chance. He has been playing consistently in all forms of the game, so he deserves his place in side.

I dont think it will be easy for him.
although he is slowly returning to good form in odi, he should have to score more runs and many big knocks to get his place in test team.
i think that raina should be given chance in test team as he is performing consistently.

Yes, I agree. Only think that can bring Yuvraj back in Test team is to score heaps and heaps of runs in whatever opportunity he gets in whatever format of cricket he is playing, be it ODI, T20 or even domestic.

Though Yuvraj Singh is recovering well and scored decent in the last ODI but there are very bleak chances for him to consider for Indian test team. As you mention Murali, Pujara and Raina proved themselves in the test series it will be difficult for the selectors to select Yuvi over others.
Yuvraj singh is a good all-rounder, he should continue his form and stick to ODI and t20 format.

I think you are right. It will be difficult at present for Yuvraj to break into Test side. But Yuvraj has good opportunity to prove himself once again in the all important ODI World Cup. If he puts up good performances in World Cup, selectors might reconsider him again for Test team.
