When the india australia series come to an end it was rain that win the series . Rain played in two matches and spoiled the spirit of the game. So the series can be summed up like this-rain 2,india 1,australia 0. Anyway, it is happy that india swept the test and one days. It is after more than 10 years india winning a oneday series against australia. Now it is the newzealand series. Newzealand are in very poor form. They lost 4-0 to bengladesh. So i think this series is also going to be an easy win for india. Good Luck India. March forward

ya surely rain won the series. Rain-2, India-1, Australia-0 BCCI does not keep reserve day because they know the fact that there no good drinage facility in indian grounds. if rain happens we have no option we have to quit. and why do they invite teams on this rainy season?

It is BCCI's fault. They are getting cores for each match. Still why cant they make good drainage system. Also they can schedule the matches in grounds where there is no rain

Hi, Yes,it is true that rain has won the series.Rain won two matches in the ODI series.India won one match against Australia. It has been a long time for the Indian team defeating the Australia in an ODI series. The next series will be very easy for the Indian team as they are going to face NEW Zealand.New Zealand have been in bad form ,they were defeated by Bangladesh for 4-0.It will be an easy series for the Indian team.So the selection committee will be resting the key players and sending them to South Africa for practice. There is a chance for the youngsters to prove themselves.

I think there are many aspects to it. First of all choice of venues was horrible. During this period down south the rains do affect matches and still BCCI schedules all three matches in south of India. Then the stadiums in India are not well equipped with water clearing machines and drainage systems. For a high profile series like India and Australia which draws so much crowd, such a series is really pathetic. I do not know when the honchos running BCCI will fully wake up to these basic issues!! Cheers! Ram

Horrible is this rotation policy of Ground by BCCI. I really want to know how scientific is this rotation policy is for which held a match in south during this time. While the much larger Stadium in North run Empty. I was really annoyed to see at Mohali India and Australia were playing an unforgeable match. And stands were the spectators. While Ground like Eden Garden, Chipak etc. had long since starved to stage a match, specially ODI. How with this rotation system Nagpur get a match or two in every series. Truly disgusting and interesting!

I think they should change this rotation policy. The matches should be scheduled in areas where there is no rain instead of rotation policy. At the same time thy should provide game to all states when there is no rain. Bcci has huge income. Then why cant they spend money to improve the drainage system of the ground. Also i think at this time there is no problem of rain in south India. Why cant they held the matches in those states now and later conduct in southern states.

I absolutely agree with Jack. I think time and time again it has been proved that the real test venues in India are Chennai, Bangalore, Kolkatta and Mumbai. These are the places where the masses come to enjoy test cricket and like they do in Australia it is high time BCCI finalizes these venues for traditional Test Venues. I do not have a problem having a rotation policy for the ODIs and T20s as they will draw people anywhere in India!! Cheers! Ram

well it means then both India and Australia lost the series if rain is the winner. only Indians can come up with such conclusions. both India and Australia played one match and India won the match fair and square. so India won the series. it is not their fault that rain played spoilsport in the rest of the series.

I do accept india own the series. It is not the fault of India. It is actually the fault of bcci to conduct the match in those stadium in rainy season. In many other part of india it is not rainy season now
