Spare PNOY the privacy

I always see and hear over the news about PNOY's or our President Noynoy Aquino's being questioned about his relationship with Councilor Shalani. There are also news that they broke up and that PNOY had been dating other girls. Whatever the truth about their relationship, whether they broke up or not, I think this is a matter that we have to allow them to keep it to themselves. Let us just spare the privacy they need and ask for. PNOY being the President of the Philippines has a great and big responsibility, and I understand if they have to consider giving each other space. I am so much proud that our President is focused on doing his responsibility to the people and for the people of this country.

I agree with your call and suggestion. He's planning good schedules for the 'New Philippines' especially on education with the Fishnet Ministry. Many poor students already got lots of benefit from it although unable to covering all levels but there are efforts from him to make a second call to the rich business group to directly help poor students in their locality. On the first call, I just made a request to not ignore the students at the Western Mindanao State University in Zamboanga City, Philippines. I am very proud some of them already enjoyed the drop into their bucket. About PNOY's private life he knew what's best for him to take especially who he wanted to say 'Yes, I do' as far as the lady or woman also like him, really works for the people.

Hi michael! It has been a long time that I have not noticed you around. How are you my friend? Well, I can say that you are right my friend. It is only him who can tell and whom he wants to say "I do" for. But I also think that his focus is more on recovering the economy and not his lovelife. It is of course a tough sacrifice for him and I admire him for that.

Hello maean, I think it's better off if the president is single. but that's just my opinion since he's getting really old. and besides, he will be more focused in helping out the country better than any President out there. look at the case of Erap having many wives, how about the Husband of GMA that rumored to have something to do with the ZTE deal he can do better off alone.

Thank you for commenting my friend. But PNOY's being single is not my issue here. Yes, it is really proper that he stays single for a while because he gets more focused being single. My issue really is that media gives much business about PNOY's love life. That is why, as part of respecting his decision to keep silent about his love life, I think it is but proper also to us to respect his decision and spare him that privacy.

that's the media. as for the people, that's their choice if they want to get into it or not. unfortunately, i don't care about his love life, i care more about his performance.

Being a bachelor and the President of a progressive nation keeps the media busy to feed the news hungry citizens. After all he is now a public property and no longer enjoy being a private citizen. What ever he does in private or public will become national news.

Well, I understand that my friend. But he, being the President has also the right to keep some things private. My point is that, let us respect it. I mean, media should not focus more of his lovelife. If he wants to be silent about it, then they have to respect that. They should not put more as if a big issue.

I think Filipinos should start changing that kind of attitude. Being socially aware or "chismosa". the attitude of being mindful of others business. That is another way of meddling others lives. we are more concerned of other people's lives forgetting to see ours.

There's no chance of escape once the public eye in on you. Afterall, those are one of the expected things he has to bear when he assumed presidency. Besides, Filipinos are natural gossipers and they just can't help it. LOL!

It's really hard to be a public figure more so be the president of a country. All eyes are on you especially the media people. It's difficult to keep one's privacy in this case. Most people, if not all, are interested to hear everything about PNOY whether it's work related or not. The media may not help but to seek and give more details about the issue also because of the people eagerly waiting to hear the news. Although this being the case, I think people especially those who work in the news or entertainment sector should also know their limitations and respect the silence of both parties involved. Let them decide when to talk and how much information they want to share with the public. Even though these personalities have an obligation to us and to our country, it doesn't mean that we have the right to constantly disturb their private life. Respect and understanding are two important words to be learned here. =)

Filipinos are by nature hopeless romantics... and the thought of a bachelor president getting married during his term is like an event to really look forward to... so we can't help but speculate and wonder if PNOY and Shalani are still together or if he has a new love interest... He would just have to bear with it... but i applaud the two of them for being trying to keep their relationship toned down... since what really matters right now is not their relationship... but how to improve the lives of most Filipinos...

I totally agree. Issues like that should be confidential and we should respect the status that they have right now. Even though he's the president, it is not a must to know each and every "corner" of his life. He is also a human, someone who has privacy in life. We should just be proud of him 'cause in spite the many issues and rumors he's encountering now, he's still doing his obligations as president.
