Hi, acoustic guitar would require acoustic guitar strings. The brand i would recommend is Elixir. Nylon string is used for classical guitars and it won't produce a loud or good sound when used on an acoustic guitar. Nylon strings do produce a distinct beautiful sound and are also easy on the fingers, so you might think about getting a classical guitar. Acoustic guitars use bronze for the bass strings and steel for the treble strings. Other metal are mixed in to produce different sounds, but generally these strings will not last very long unless there is a coating that protects it from erosion. Elixir strings have this coating and it's definitely a fine choice for string replacement.
