Sania Mirza was a good but much hyped player for India. But the glamour world ate her talent and energy. She could not handle all that popularity and fame with negative effects of stardom.

I wouldn't say that she could not handle it. I just think that she reached the maximum she could reach with her talent. Also as she was India's first female superstar there were too many distractions for her and also gave her this hype and fame. Now that makes the life of the second generation female superstars like Saina Nehwal a bit better as they now know how to handle things in a better way. Cheers! Ram

That is the battle that many of the female players have to deal with. It has done more than one in and slowed others down. The very attractive ones have it harder than the ones that do not have as good of looks.

Agreed. She is concentrating less on her game and more on her looks it seems. She definitely is HOT but she should know that it wont win her games. Though she played really well in CWG 2010 finals but lost the game. I guess she is following on Anna Kournikova's path now and will be out of this game soon.

ya its true....Sania has given more attention to publicity rather than focussing on her game.
