My Cat Ears Spooked Mija=^..^=!

One Halloween I was getting dressed up for a masquerade party. My custome was very simple. Simply cat ears, a cat tail and some makeup to paint on cat whiskers. Something very interesting happened when I put on the cat ears in front of Mija, my black, American shorthair. When she saw me with those cat ears all of a sudden her eyes grew very large, she backed up as if in fear, her back arched and her fur stuck straight out! It was the most amazing thing I had ever seen! I looked at her and said, "Mija, don't you recognize me? I'm your mommy!" I laughed a little bit and as I took those cat ears off my head she unarched her back and her fur went back down. At that time I had Mija with me for about 4 years and that was the first time I had ever seen her fur fluff out like that or her back arch like that. When she calmed down a bit I picked her up to reassure her that everthing was alright. Now, she will soon be 7 years old on December 9th and she is my dear heart! Purrs, Catwoman=^..^= & Mija
