In this modern world, there are lot of available foods that we can eat and can enjoy. But without considering some of them can be harmful and unhealthy to us. What are the kinds of food that you are eating? Are they the right choices to keep you healthy? views are very welcome. Happy mylotting!

We found that eating organic food has kept us healthy. It started when my youngest child had allergies as a baby, and we switched from commercial milk to organic...and saw an immediate improvement in the severity of his allergies. Since then practically all of the veggies and fruit we consume is organic and we try to buy as much free-range beef and chicken as possible, along with taking vitamins and drinking lots of juice (organic) and filtered water. Even though both of our sons are in school, and have been around children that had colds and the flu, they have often escaped without getting sick. Even when they do come down with an illness, it usually lasts about a day and the symptoms are not severe at all.

We should adapt the food we eat to our lifestyles. The best thing to do is to go to a nutritionist who will adapt a diet for us. :)

I do the best I can to eat healthy, but the problem is...it is just to expensive! I just don't know, in this day and time, how people can afford organic this and that, trail mixes and such treats, extra healthy this or that. I went to a market that had lots of "healthy" stuff....I couldn't afford it! And I am only feeding 2 adults! Imagine if I had kids! I looked at the organic potatoes and they were 99 cents each. Same size "regular" potatoe from Idaho...39 cents a pound. Onions..same senario! I was looking at the carob covered raisins and things like that for snack and take alongs...$5 for a 10-12oz little cup of this stuff! I just can't afford it! They might keep you healthy but it won't last long as money don't grow on trees...we haven't gone that "Green" yet! I'd like to have some of the "heathly, organic" stuff... but I just can't afford it.
