It has been a Sehwag show so far in the first day of the first test. Sehwag brought his hundred in style by lofting Vettori for a four. His century coming off only 111 balls on a slow pitch where stroke making is a bit difficult. It simply shows that when he bats, the pitch does not matter at all!! Cheers! Ram

Sehwag is a brilliant player , he keeps playing magical innings consistently no matter what conditions are .This innings is important as this pitch is slow and low and its hard to score runs here , yet he made it look so easy thats the magic of Sehwag. His fast runs are so useful as after the ball is old and soft its hard to face the spinners on this pitch and Sehwag by playing this superb innings has ensured India will be on top in this match and NZ will play to save the match .I hope he will continue his tremendous form in ODIs also and if he plays like this surely India will lift the world cup next year.

I think tomorrow the way Kiwi batsmen play could be the key for the match. Cheers! Ram

Definitely Sehwag had done a fantastic job for team India in the first day of the first test against Newzland. He outplayed all other and scored a ton on a weary pitch.Apart from Sehwag no other batsmen could find the form on this pitch. Now India is eyeing a huge total in the first innings....

What a year it has been for Viru. This is 5th test century this year. He has been a prolific scorer in test cricket over the years for India. It's amazing that a batsman as aggressive as he is has an avg of over 54 in test cricket batting at the toughest of positions, playing unbelievable risky shots. I will only want him take his test batting to ODIs and next years world cup. Nothing can be better than that.

Sehwag shown today why he is named the ICC Test player of year 2010. Today's innings was a typical Sehwag innings full of aggression. I haven't seen any other batsman in modern era dominate bowling like Sehwag. He rate at which he gets the runs, put his team in winning position. Dravid was able to buy his time as Sehwag was taking care of run rate. Sehwag completed his 22nd Test century, at one moment I thought he can make record of getting hundred in a session. Sehwag did not lose his wicket trying to get hundred in one session, instead played a long innings and that meant that India is now in a dominating position in this match. Critics of Sehwag must have been silenced by this knock. Sehwag completely changes the way Test cricket is played. His main intention is to score runs and he is able to mix caution with aggression that's the best thing of his innings. Sehwag is one the main reason why India is at No.1 position.

Dravid presented the complete contrast to Sehwag. While Sehwag was scoring at run a ball, Dravid was scoring at around 20% strike rate for most of the innings. Cheers! Ram
