what is the difference of a pumpkin and a squash kinda curious and confuse

A squash is more like a zucchini, but yellow and not green. That's the main difference that I understand with it. It's totally edible and delicious when it's fried in butter or vegetable oil! Pumpkins however are different..I've never really eaten a pumpkin before, unless it's in the form of pumpkin pie. I don't care for pumpkin seeds, but you can also cook those. At least where I live, pumpkins are primarily used around Halloween as Jack O Lanterns, and most people don't actually eat the insides.
