I've first watch Twilight before reading the book. And upon reading it, I've noticed that it is much descriptive in books than in movies. Do you think it is much better to read books than watch the movies?

yes, i like the books better than the movies. i read it first so every time i watch a twilight movie, i just end up getting disappointed. i guess it's because it doesn't live up to the film picture that goes in my head when i read the books.

So true! I was very disappointed when I watched New Moon. It was an action pack story but the film did not justify the book.

So did I, watched the film before I read the book. The book seems more focus on the psychology of the characters. There are many paragraphs describing the thoughts and feeling of Bella. The book makes the whole story looks like a romantic love story except the boy is a vampire. But the film presents a more attractive plot. So, I think the moive is better than the book.

I think the only advantage of the movie is that you see the characters. But it also helps you enjoy the book.

Yes. I happen to think that books are better than movies period. I like the Twilight movies, but I think that the books are eons better and reading them is a whole lot more fun than watching them. I can't recall ever thinking that a movie adaptation was better than the book. There have been adaptations that I've liked or loved as much as the book... but never one that I liked more.

So true, I can read books over and over again but can't watch movie adaptations the same way. Books are so much way better.

It is always nice to read a book first before watching a movie..however, the tendency will be you will be disappointed when you watched it because you will be expecting too much. However, it is but natural that there will be lesser scenes in the movies than the book because they have to summarize a whole book into an hour or two, three hour length movie. Reading is better because you can actually feel yourself being in the story as you read it, nevertheless, just to bring life to the characters, a movie can help, but I suggest reading it first before watching...

I also agree. When you first read the book before watching the movie, you will surely get disappointed. But when you watch the movie then read the book, you will know the characters and visualize the events while reading.
