Imagine this......

I was thinking of something interesting about Mylot, which I feel I should share with all of you here. Let's imagine Mylot starts to kind of, revolutionize and now we are not at home typing and posting discussions. Instead, there's a building called Mylot Members Association. All of us go there in our own free time and some of us here may go there daily. What we do there is basically about the same as what we're doing now, starting discussions and responding, except that we say it out, not type it out. Well, we just talk it out to an audience/listeners sitting in front of us and those interested in our discussion will respond back like what's done here. Then. whatever we discussed will be recorded and at the end of the day or when we feel we're ready to go, we'll just inform the staff and they'll send the earnings to our paypal. Well, isn't that interesting? Hmm...thinking of it, it's just wishful thinking on my part. I'm a bit too imaginative. In the end, it's still better to discuss in the own comfort of our home.

Hello JudgeIronFist,
That is a good idea, however some of us aren't public speakers, that is to say we're shy about speaking in public. I know, I for one would not want to speak outside of my own comfort zone, and so speaking to so big an audience, 219,812 if all attended, would really make me nervous. However, using voice recognition software would be in effect the same thing, though the audience would have to be imagined.

Yea, maybe it could be done using voice over IP software, like a conference call and things like that. Thanks for liking my idea :)

I was actually talking about something different, but that is a good idea I hadn't thought of. Voice Recognition software is merely a headset that you talk into and that types for you as you dictate.

Nice imaginary situation! It would be fun to do that but I guess maybe people would not be so forthcoming in their opinions! For me, I write better than I speak, so maybe I can't get my point across so easily when talking face to face with people as opposed to writing to them.

That's the step to take if we want to improve our communications skills----talk to people more and overcome the shyness. I guess "talking" here in mylot is also helping to a certain extent.

Go ahead and implement this idea-we shall give it all the support it deserves. An idea that is left to lie in abeyance remains wasted-you can never tell when exactly this idea could change the way mylotters do things-so go ahead with it!

Quite metaphorical but, if we do such a thing, I guess we'd have a hard time with ourselves. I have to remember the members who I have responded to and wait for their replies in case, their discussions got responded by a lot of members of the site. I would also have to be keen in remembering my discussions so that I wouldn't mistake giving replies to discussions since, I might give a different response to an entirely different topic just because of the multitude of feedback that one can handle.
Then again, it is nice to see members in person

If myLot would be something physical, I guess I'd really have to step up on my pronunciation since I am not sure if I can clearly say what I always post here in my discussions or in my replies to discussions of others..
Also, we'd have more variety when it comes to emoticons.. then again, we don't really have to use any since our faces would be enough (^_^ )

That's good thinking, and yes you do have a great imagination. Deep thinking! I think that would be fun. Why don't you run that past the admin and they can look at it in the future.

this is a good idea my friend but it will takes longer time to make such a revolution come true.it can not be implemented for now,plus it will rise some difficulties to the members for sure.the great difficulty is how the way they understand each other english.it is already hard enough to understand some text or sentence by others and if we just need to listen to it, i do not think the non-english speaker members could understand it since we have so many accents here.for now it is better for us to communicate with each other using text rather than audio.anyway you are really an imaginative person and that is a good idea indeed. don 't worry who knows your idea will be come true in the future? revolution always takes time, right?

Thanks for liking my idea! Haha, it would be really relaxing to sit there and listen and when we've nothing to do, there's a cafe there and we can drink some beverages and listen to some relaxing jazz music.

hi judgeironfist yest your idea is interesting but I sort of like
mylot as it is and too a lot of us could not afford to go to thie
unique building as we might not have the money to travel there or
our health might not let us go. better to do this in the comfort'
of your own home. keep that imagination as it may do you good wome dayh. if for instance you wished to write poetry or short stories or even
a novel. Do you agree it is so neat to type on our keyboards and be in
touch with each other.

Well for me in reality the building is possible, admin can put up a building for his staff because the association became too big to handle so he needs some assistance to answer the needs of members.But some members at present log only in there free time, like at night after coming from work so they may prefer the comforts of their home..

Presently we're in the hospital. If mylot office exist, I couldn't have watched the match between Pacquiao and Margarito, or the beautiful nurses around here. There would be boredom. Our room is semi-private and we have two tvs each almost visible from either side. It seem the perfect place other than home to do mylotting. But of course, mylot is not a top priority. Sometimes it is.

Don't you think we will not be able to interact the way we do here. Here we are able to come across people from several different places, countries and continents. Meeting at one place will have its own limitations. It would take up lots of time. Only one person will be able to speak, while others would just sit and here. I do not think this method would work. Working from home, through internet is a much better proposition. Thanks for your imaginative idea.

It seems fun and a great idea to meet myLotters face to face. However, the world is so big and it is impossible for us to physically gather in one place. What about a myLot group per country or city. For example the mylotters from Manila Philippine, Mylotters from Tokyo, Japan..etc.. Then we all agree that a particular day will by MyLot day where all members of the group gather and interact with each other. I think for now, it would be more feasible to start it per city, per country.

If we imagine, we are like traveling. It is not a bizaare to do such, but we are practicing our imaginations to be inspired or create something out of it. Having a dream is the product of imagining the things we aspire for. Maybe you can try to suggest it to the myLot's administration.
