A question for all Kindle owners

I have at last decided and bought a Kindle for one of my daughters for Christmas. Due to problems with my post I have had it delivered to another daughter's home so I've not had chance to look at it first. I am just wondering if there is anything else I ned to buy to go with the Kindle so that she can use it straight away. I have cought a case and a pink cover (sje does love her pink!) for it and a gift card for Amazon so she can buy some books - but do I need anything like a memory card or adaoptor. I am a complete novice regards the kindle!

AW THANKS!!! I am always more bothered about making Christmas special for my kids than having things myself, that to me is what it is all about - always has been, always was!! My parents always made sure that I had a great Christmas so it's the least I can do for my kids!!

From what I have read in the past, I believe everything you need is included in the box. I believe you can get additional adaptors, like a car charger, but from what I remember on the Kindle, the battery holds for a very long time so I don't think a car charger would be necessary.

I know what you mean with the post. We have no regular postie, so we are covered on overtime. We don't own a Kindle, but from what I have read, you should not need an adaptor, and there are no expansion slots for memory at present(which seems odd as even my mobile and broadband dongle do). Here is one review I recently looked at. http://reviews.cnet.com/amazon-kindle-review-wi-fi It does come with 4GB memory. That will, at 2000 characters per page, hold around 2.1 million pages of text if that helps.

Thanks a lot, good that means no more money for me!! We're right out in the country and have a Postman Pat type postie, if I'm out it can cause a problem with parcels so I just have expensive ones sent to my daughters!
