One's salvation should be the greatest focus. This means being redeemed by God through the finished work of Christ and continuing in Christ.
Aye, there's is much powerful information in the Holy Bible. It is indeed a life-changing book. Many have been greatly touched by God by just reading it.

In a way wiggles18, you are right too. Because, per the Holy Bible, we need to be living the way God wants us to live on this planet before we step out into eternity. That loops back to the salvation graciously provided for us in Christ! That's the only we can do it and please the Father. See John 14:6.

I agree.
One should focus on salvation. Everything begins with knowing and believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and our Savior. Everything else flows from this truth.

How old are you wiggles?
And do you seriously believe that Harry Potter's influence will survive more than 2000+ years from now?
It may be the most popular book now. But in 10 years something else will take its place... but the Bible will remain as it is or increase its influence.
That is the difference.

Hi, glr05b and welcome to myLot..
The Bible is the most spread book in the world. It is a library of 66 books and has been written during many centuries. Moses started to collect and write down the scriptures written by some of the first human beings on earth before and after the great flood. This happened in 1513 B.C.E.
The latest books were written in year 98 C.E.
Still, it is a whole story, with history and prophecies which shows that our Creator is the author of it, and He used human secretaries to write down His thoughts.
The more we study the prophecies there, the more impressed we will be. Most of them have already been fulfilled, and only a few remain and will be fulfilled in the future. So it is most important that we focus on what will happen to the mankind in the future.
But it is also important to show our Creator that we are the kind of people that He will want in His New World. So we will have to learn to follow God´s laws founded on love.

the main focus should be on doing what god commands. too many have bibles, but few ever read them. i see pastors and preachers telling the people lies, and being hypocrites, but the people follow the pastors and churches blindly. there are many things in the bible which the churches of this day do, that the bible prohibits, or doesnt support. for instance the sunday worship is not mentioned anywhere in the bible. god had already chosen a day, and he doesnt change. secondly, the buying and selling in the churches. the son of god drove out those who bought and sold in the churches, and they were selling and buying what was needed for sacrifice. people should read their bibles more, and understand the mystery that jesus is not the name of the son of god. the name jesus is only about 400 years old...so people should learn what he was called, and the real name given where men can be saved by

That which apostle Paul said that is of first importance in 1 Corinthians 5:3 that He passed on to us. The main focus of the Bible is about God, His love and His faithfulness. The Bible is the only book that couldn't be revised, it only have different translations, but no revisions and it is indeed the most influential book of all times, as well as the best selling book of all times.
