I just finished eating my lunch im a bit full now and ready to go on with my work, but before i do that i need to ask you guys. Before and after eating, do you prefer washing your hands with water and soap or are you satisfied with alcohol or sanitizer alone? We all know there are a lot of germs on our keyboards and work area in our office or even at home or on cafeteria's so to prevent these germs from causing diseases most especially communicable ones, do you wash your hands then? Handwashing is the main preventive measure for some diseases that is why most doctors would recommend us to really wash our hands after touching objects before and after eating. I always have a 70% isopropyl alcohol with moisturizer with me where ever i go because i really feel secure just putting it after holding money or door knobs when water is really not available. Alcohol is a bit more convenient or even sanitizers. What about you? Are you a girl/boy scout as well bringing a safety measure to prevent being sick?

Did you know in the long run this sort of behavior actually causes more illnesses? You'd be better to build up a proper immune system so you will have a hardy body in future.

It does make sense that having a few germs with you can actually help your immune system get stronger. Thank you for the advise!

It was my impression that the "superbugs" are caused by antibodies added to the soap, usually labelled "anti-bacterial." I used to hardly ever get sick, but now at my age it happens every year. So I wash my hands often. And I hope they can do a study to see how many victims there are by people spreading germs by not washing.

Just what wiggles18 said, sometimes germs helps us build a stronger immune system. But too much of something is already bad enough so we need to be taking preventive measures sometimes. Thanks :)

Normally I prefer to wash my hands with water and soap before eating anything, unless I am grabbing a quick bite to eat and going by the drive-thru then I always keep a bottle of hand sanitizer handy either in my purse or in the car. When it comes to work, I always like to keep my hands clean, like I mentioned before washing my hands before any meal is a priority of mine. But like you said everything in the office is dirty, so I always keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in my office and I think I probably use more than 5 times a day. I have kids and I know how they love to touch everything, so what I recently purchased were the Wet Ones hand sanitizer wipes, those are wonderful especially for them, I actuall prefer them more than the liquid.

the wet ones are much convenient for kids because it's not messy at all. You are such a cautious parent to your kids. That way you can be sure they are less prone to getting diseases.
