I am a student. In India getting a credit card is like finding a nail in a grass lawn.Credit cards are provided to those members who have salary account or have huge money deposits in a bank. I badly need a credit card for verifying PayPal account. For that I need to have a fixed deposit of over 455 $.That much money is a big amount for me.I am waiting for my father to help me. Anyways I pay bill and all those stuffs for my debit card.

I don't know how it works in your country, but we have to be fully employed with a certain amount of salary before you can apply to get a credit card. I only have two credit cards. In fact, I'm going to get rid of one since I don't use it. The other one I use for purchases, but I ensure money is set aside to pay it off every month in full. Use your credit card wisely, chipsterkhan!

hi credit cards are fine as long as paid up[ each month but I got myself in debt so badly I went to a credit couonseling place with got Mervyns and J.C pennies to lower their interest rates so got those two paid off. but Sears would not budge an inch and all I could do was keep paying the minimum and never was touching the principle so I finally quit as I was just wastng my money and not getting the bill paid off so now its been outlawed as too old so am off the hook but thats why I do not use any credit cards now only my debit card. i ii
