To be honest, I prefer read the people activities than read the boring books, But some other thinking that the more you read the books, the more you read the life, automatically.

Its not the same , these people that think it live in their own world and believe for humans . Better to face it in life then read it in book . You can find some "things" for live in books , but still its not like to live it .

But I think the similarity between read books and read life is those things have the same activities, but in different way. Read books just using our eyes and mind to look up what are the content in book's have, and read life we using our eyes, our mouth, our ears, our skin, even our whole body to taste the life that we read about.

I appreciate to your hobby. It is true if reading novels makes our mind works. But, I think that novels must be interesting to us to be read, in order to opened our mind easily.

But, unless you're some jet setting international traveler, there's a lot of life and activities you can't read outside of books. Not to mention time travel. I'm never going to be able to read people's activities during the Trojan War, since I didn't live in those days. But, I can read a book about them. If I followed a runaway kid around to "read" their activities, well that would be pretty creepy, wouldn't it? But, I can read a book about a runaway. Also, since I can't read minds, there's a big part of people's activities I miss. I don't know what people are thinking. In books I not only get the activities of people I'd never meet in real life, but I also get their thoughts and feelings. And, I don't even have to be all nosy and weird by asking them "So, tell me every thought you're having as you go about this activity?" I can just read the book where they volunteer their thoughts to anyone who opens it.

I think the more you read the book, the more you will get knowledge same as you browsing on the internet. and I think I prefer to use internet to expand my knowledge, but sometimes your need of knowledge can not found on the internet, because the copyright. then, we still need the book.
