Some says it's better to call him/her directly to convey your message but I don;t have load or credit. Just send SMS for sure and atleast you convey the message. These two scenario are always in our hands everytime we are using mobile. For your opinion which of the two are better, convenient and practical way of conveying or forwading our messages whether it is important or not... If you say SMS or direct calling tell us Why? It is better? Share with us your oppinion and suggestion in this regard... see you around

it depends if the situation calls for something more personal, and would require an immediate, clear reply from the person i'm talking to, i think it would be wise to "invest" on a call... i probably wouldn't mind spending a few bucks on that call... but if it's something that could wait, and is not that urgent, whether important or not too important, i think a text message will do then.

hello friend, With people i loved the most,i better make calls if i need to greet a happy birthday or any special occasion. With friends,i always send text messages whenever i am free to do so,because sometimes i am too busy and tired from work and household chores that i don't even have time to read and reply text messages. But i always make sure that, for every special event,i don't miss to greet my loved ones. Have a good day always

If it is not something urgent, I like to send SMS. I can send it for free by a software from my computer or my cellphone. And it won't bother others because they can read the SMS anytime they want. And it won't cost anything for both sides. Because here even if you just pick up your cellphone, you shall still pay for it. On the contrary, if I need to contact the person and tell him/her something important, I have to choose to make a call directly. I love China

for me, when just relaying information, i prefer sms as i can forward the message to all the supposed recipient at one time. if i don't want to talk to my boss or colleague i prefer sms them the information i want to know or give information to them. but if i want to talk to somebody and i feel lazy typing the message, then that's the time i will call. :)

Hi, Personally I prefer to use SMS rather than make a direct call as it save money.but then some situation, I have to make direct call due to the emergency. By sending SMS, it take time to type out the message & to sent out to another party. Basically, I will see the situation on what action to take. But I hardly make use of my mobile phone to make phone call unless emergency.

The two functions offer different things in conveying messages. If the message is too long and urgent and you need to have a response immediately and a longer conversation at that, it is practical to make a call than sending sms. Short messaging services can be delayed sometimes and if the message is quite urgent then it won't be able to relay the purpose of the message. However if you're just having casual chats with friends and are just making a few reminders to people without the need of exchanging long conversations, then SMS is very practical. I use both depending on what my purpose and reason is.

Well, for me it depends on the situation. If I need a long convo, then I call. Texting is too slow for that. For quick little questions, there is no sense in using my minutes when a cheap text works so I will use a text. It all depends on what needs done for me.

Hi there, Some of my friends just don't care to take messages seriously so i would rather call them. Also, if it is something important i would always ring the person up. Messages don't really seem to be reliable, not unless they reply to it. My friends, most of them don't message at all. It's a weird scene here, most of guys who avail text message offers are like supposed to have a girlfriend, otherwise there is no real use using the messaging offer. Now, i know you might find it funny. But that is the way it is here. Guys with no girlfriends do play around messaging. But, it's not the same with the girls here, doesn't mean she must be having a boyfriend. We guys are just not social enough via text messaging. Call is the main thing. So i would always call, unless i am messaging my friends who have girlfriends.

Hi Visavis, I prefer the Calling thing because you know here in India the service providers would deduct you the money even if the SMS you try to send never gets delivered. So there is no way to be sure that the SMS does get delivered. So a call is better for me than sending a non-delivered SMS and paying for its non delivery. Of course there are cards that allow free sms but then again, these are unreliable. So why take a chance and risk something essential. Another fact worth mentioning here is that Many Indians are not yet fully versed with handsets and would not even know that an SMS has arrived. Better to call because they know when the Bell Rings. Cheers, theSids.

I prefer only an SMS cause direct calling is quite expensive (for me) as I dont really have the money for buying loads... but I'd be happy if someone will call me to talk with than SMS :D
