Last year my honey put up the tree at the beginning of November so by the time Christmas came I got tired of looking at it { I LOVE MY TREE }. This time we wait till after Thanksgiving and I be home to help decorating. Every year we do it a little different. I get more ornaments and different decorations every year. My mom gave me some beautiful new ornaments. Some people have the same tree year in year out but I like mine different each year. How about you?

Hello missy bear. 1 week, 8 responses and no proper tagging :D Oh well, i fixed that problem for you. Now let's see. I bought an artificial tree for my girlfriend 3 years ago for her to have at her grandma's place - where she stays for college, in my city, capital of Romania. That tree we put up normally at beginning of december, but this year we had it up since november as well, on the 20th or so. We too get 1-2 new decorations each year, we like to spice it up, in the first year, there were to much yellow and red globes, but now, the white ended up to be the lead color - we may fix this next year, or maybe work on it a bit this year too, who knows, there is still time.

Some people do color themes were they make the tree all gold, silver or red. It looks pretty but all my stuff is different so my tree is very colorful.

I think Christmas trees for them to make the much need symbolic meaning, must be displayed about three days to Christmas-anything earlier or later could make it lose symbolism!

I think it needs to be put up earlier than that so you can enjoy looking at it otherwise it's a lot of work for only a few days.

Hi missy! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Sconi first! I am in the middle of cooking my bird right now! It's actually done, but I had the BF turn it over for a bit so the bottom would get a little better cooked. I don't put up my "big Christmas Tree anymore. I haven't put it up in years. I know I haven't put it up since I got Star & Luna and they will be turning 7 year old this February! They are serious climbers, or at least Star is so I gave up bothering to put up the 6 footer! My other cats (RIP) were fattys and didn't climb, only wrecked the bottom! I honestly don't have the strength or patience myself anymore to do all the decorating and putting away stuff so I just put up a little tiny 2 footer! It's not the same and I miss having my "big tree", but got rid of most of my glass ornaments and would have to replace too many of them with plastic stuff so the cats wouldn't get hurt! It does make me kind of sad though since my friends also don't put up big trees anymore either~

You should get a little table tree they are pretty cute and don't take up much room. Sconi is cooking Turkey right now too and I just got home from work. We're gonna pig out.

I usually put mine up within the first two weeks of December. I have put mine up very early before but it does get old after a bit. My grandmother used to make me ornaments for my tree too. She was very creative.

I don't put up a Christmas Tree. I have not in years! I lost most of my Christmas spirit! Why put up decorations no one is going to see but me! Same with the a tree! I have seen Christmas trees up before Thanksgiving. I think that is nuts but people are crazy! Christmas gets pushed earlier and earlier every year! I wish Christmas was not like it is! I wish it was simpler and less commericalized! I am getting more like Scrooge every year! The more Christmas becomes less like Christmas the more Scrooge I will be! Ba Ha,bug!

Me and my family use to always put the same tree, same ornaments. but each year me and my little sister would pick out a new one to hang. About 5 years ago our tree broke on us :( My mom went and got a new one, a smaller one. Then we lost all our decorations which brought our spirits even lower. The small one broke about 2 years after getting it. Now we have a medium tree, and few decorations. The last three years we have put the same stuff up. I have even got a great way of doing the lights so they dont get tangled ^-^ Also we wait till the day after Thanksgiving to put our tree up. But taking it down has always changed XD One year we has it up till February! Now its down sometime between Christmas and the end of January.
