Do you have more DVDs then you really have time to watch?

Right now I have a stack of unopened DVDS. Some of them I bought, some gifts, but I have not gotten around to watching them. Since I tend to be snowed in a lot during the winter in these parts, it will give me something to do on those dismal days. So do you have a lot of DVDs lying around that you have not gotten a chance to watch.

In the past few years i have become quite a DVD collector. I'm sure I will never be able to watch all of the DVDs that i own. Still, i wouldn't want to be without any of them. i never know what I will be tempted to watch.,

Yes that is an excellent point. You never know when the temptation to watch those DVDs will occur. So it is good to have them ready with something when the mood strikes. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Well I own a lot of DVDs and VHS and I dont always have time to watch them, but eventually there is time or at least I make time to view them because I love to watch a good film in fact I've become a bit of a avid collector of DVDs. so I always eventually watch the DVDs I buy none of the DVDs I own will go to waste because I only buy films I've seen and know I like, and will want to view agin.

I think that there will be a time where I will see everything. People getting me gifts does contribute to the problem. Of course they will have their uses. The next time I get sick, I can burn through a few DVDs. I try and not get anything that I know that I won't watch, but really as of late, I cannot stay the same about other people. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I've got about 5 or 6 which I got when they were cheap and not got round to watching them yet. But some of those I am saving for a rainy Sunday afternoon when I am in the right mood for them. Although I did buy a couple without realising that they were just short of 3 hours long and I definitely need to be in the right mood to watch a movie that long, lol.

I hear you about the long movies. I have to be able to set aside an amount of time. During a time where I am sure that there will be no distractions. And have to be in the proper mindset. Which can be rare but not impossible. Still it is a balancing act to be certain. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yes, a lot. Maybe 10-15 percent of the DVDs we have are movies i haven't watched yet. It's because my dad bought them and it's all action/adventure..I like them too but I don't like Steven Seagul, and the like.. But i promise to watch them..someday..maybe I'll like it.

I think you never know. Some movies I got I was a bit leery about. Apprehensive even, but they turned out to ranging from alright to good. Okay there were a couple of stinkers but the law of averages and all that. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

There are some movies that were just to be great to have in your collection. Especially if the rewatch value of said movies is good. Free time however is something that can be a bit of a hassle to come by for sure. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yes I do! I find very little time now to watch t.v. and even less DVD. I have a stack of t.v. series, movies, anime's. I hope to be able to squeeze in a movie or two or a few episodes during weekends coz it's near impossible during work days especially this week which had been so daunting for me.

We have so many DVDs. There's several that we bought after liking the film in the cinema and then haven't gotten around to watching yet. There are also a lot of films I have that my partner won't watch and I haven't had the time alone to put them on. They've probably gathered their fair amount of dust. I've suggested to my partner that we either watch them or get rid of them because they're just taking up space!

I just recently moved a bunch to a box in storage. Haven't taken the final drastic step. Still after that, I still have a lot scattered about my desk. I really do need to do an inventory to see what I have. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I have a lot of those. Not only movies but also games. It's crazy that I gave $50 for some of these titles a few years back and still haven't got around to try them.

I do actually have a lot of dvd. There are some movies that I have that I haven't watched in such a long time. All the movies I have are actually opened. I like putting my movies in a movie/cd case. It's certainly a lot easy to do this. Although I don't have unopened movie boxes, I can say that my mother- and father-in-law actually do have a lot of unopened movie boxes. It's ridiculous the number that they have!

It can get up there a lot of the time if those things tend to slip away from you. I'm beginning to figure out what I want to watch, but the thing is just finding the time. That can be rather tricky. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I actually do have a lot of unopened DVDs that I've never gotten around to watching. Most of the time whenever I go to stores like BigLots I'd end up picking up a few DVDs since they are only $3 each. I also receive them for my birthday or Christmas too. I keep on telling myself that I'll get around to watching them but I don't and after a while it builds up. But I don't really mind in some cases, I actually prefer to keep the movie in it's shrink wrap.

Well if nothing else, you don't have any shortage of choices should you decide to wash it. I do like when DVDs are sale when I do buy them. The video store around here was unloading some order DVDs for a reduced rate a while back. I wish I really had a chance to look at them. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I'm not one to buy more DVDs than I can watch, but my parents certainly do. There are loads of unopened and unwatched DVDs in our collection. I don't know why they buy DVDs they don't plan to watch immediately. When I get a new DVD for my own collection I usually watch it right away or if not right away then at least somewhat soon. I only want to own movies that I truly love and would want to watch at home every once and awhile.

Yeah I've been cutting back on actually buying any. Of course people do get them as gifts for me and that is about ninety percent or more of what the pile up is. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I usually borrow DVDs from the library and yet I feel I don't make time to watch them even though I should. If it's something I own I'll eventually get around to watching it, if it's from the library I have to remember to watch it.

YES! I have a bunch of films I haven't even had time to watch yet (either that or I just stay on the computer too much haha). My parents just have to buy movies every month so I tend to get movies I have no need for. I need to start watching some movies and getting rid of those I don't like!
