Hi, Christmas is on the way and lot of peoples are planning for holiday trip. For me, it is just another normal day to go. No holiday trip for this year. Travel abroad is fun and exciting, but it costs alot of money. If you have lot of savings, then simply go for free & easy trip, it is more fun and challenging . As for the destination,it is depend which country you prefer to travel. There are plenty of budget airlines available.simply login to the websites to check on for the price details. More really has a good bargain for the ticket prices if you were to book earlier. Normally, I will be back to my hometown for the month of December, but only this year is the exceptional. No cheap ticket,..so no holiday trip for me and my family.

I'd like to go to Finland for Christmas at some point, but this year my friend there is in Thailand for Christmas and New Years Eve so it's not really much point in going there then. Not really too keen on family Christmas things and that kind of stuff, so I wouldn't mind travelling for Christmas. Maybe go somewhere where they don't celebrate Christmas. It's probably too warm there though :-)

Traveling abroad at Christmas time is more than I can afford due to the most expensive airfares in the whole year. Airfares go up significantly from 9 December and stay fairly high for departures after Christmas but before New year. Then in early January flights are heavily booked due to people going home after Christmas. Twice in my life I have had Christmas overseas. The first time I was on my journey around the world and the second time I was on a long trip and I had left in November. I had Christmas Day 1993 on Sarina Beach in Queensland, Australia. I swam in the sea and it was lovely hot weather. The other time I was in the Bay of Islands on a dolphin watching trip on Christmas Day. That was in 2001.

I would want to go abroad, actually, but due to work related issues, I can't. So I will be staying at home for Christmas this year, I am afraid. Otherwise I would love to go to a place with a lot of snow and country side.

I am not traveling anywhere for Christmas, going to spend time with my family, friends and boyfriend this Christmas :) I would like to study abroad but it costs way too much. I've heard great experiences from friends though, they said it's great, if you have the money you should do it, you learn lots of new cultures, things and meet new people :)
