Are you still drinking milk?

I've heard people say that drinking milk is just for babies & kids. I personally believe that drinking milk is for everyone. Milk can help prevent or delay osteoporosis (brittle bones). Milk can also make our teeth stronger. These are only 2 of many reasons why I still drink milk. I also encourage my kids to drink milk at least 2 times a day. How about you?

I alone at home drink and use about a gallon every 4 days, as I use it in cereal and drink by the glass. Although I do not drink regular pasteurized milk. I use fat free milk.

I have no problem with that , i feel like 22 years old kid so its alright for me , even if i live to 80 i will be 80 years old kid and drink milk . But well who knows maybe the milk of babies is better (Ok thats disturbing thought ) But anyway milk is good and every time i get my hands on it i drink it all , i even like to eat it with bread and sugar :)

I have been told that milk was only for babies. I guess I am a big baby then because I still drink a ton of milk. There are similarities though: I drink milk out of a bottle (more like a gallon jug), I drink a lot of it (2.5 gallons a day, probably three since sometimes the half of a jug doesn't make it back to the fridge), I am growing (I lift weights, and used to play sports but I have gotten to big for others because I am 5'9", and I weight 345 pounds of muscle, and I am strong enough to push trucks), and I do crave it (except I don't cry, I growl, been trying to control that lately since I am now scaring dogs). I hear it all the time about me being able to drink an entire gallon of milk in a short period of time because I can drink a gallon in minutes. A gallon of milk doesn't even feel like a lot anymore. When I go to the store, I buy enough to last for the week (on average 15), and it is a freakish amount, especially after work or hitting the weights. I have seen the effects of drinking this much milk in terms of size (everything is smaller now), strength (everything is lighter, or breaks easily), appetite (I wouldn't have thought I would be able to treat a gallon of milk like a glass, but I actually like it). In terms of bone strength, other than I break everything and managed to punch holes with my shoulders, or imprint a wall with my toes, they are completely opposite of brittle. It does draw attention since people don't drink a lot of milk and here I am walking down the street chugging a gallon and the most I hear is "no wonder you're so strong". Some parents use me as an example of what milk does when you drink it. But this is coming from a 30 year old musclebound infant milkaholic.

Hello JKSophie! I still do because I know there's a lot of benefits (nutrients) we can get from it regardless of our age... Still it's part of my daily diet to achieve a healthy body ^_^! Bottoms up! ^_^

I still drink milk but I'm slightly lactose intolerant. By the way milk doesn't prevent osteoporosis but it can be a source of calcium. In order to increase bone mass you need to put your bones under stress like some kind of weight. Weight lifting is a good way to build strong bones. If you don't do any exercise it's futile to drink milk to prevent osteoporosis you'll just increase your blood calcium and eventually your body will get rid of it.

Hi, I don't drink milk now because I just don't like the milk taste. I feel like vomitting when I smell the milk. Only when I was pregnant with my boy, I have to force myself to drink milk every morning for that 9 months. Lucky I was able to get those milk with chocolate flavour. I do know that milk is good for bone and our body,so I may consider to drink milk again one day, probably mixed with MILO.so the taste will be better.

I still drink milk, but not too often because I have a lactose intolerance. I am having loose bowel movement similar to diarrhea whenever I drink milk. I am actually looking for milk with low lactose content but still high in other nutrients.

Yes, I still drink milk. In my family, we purchase organic milk only. My parents and I drink milk daily just a glass and it's good for bones and our teeth. I think adults should as well, doctors recommend it (well ours did) as well as taking vitamins.
