slow computer

my pc gets slows down when i work while it is busy in writing a dvd. is it common phenomenon or some thing is wrong.

Nothing is wrong. Writing a DVD uses ALL of the memory and ALL of the processor. Sve writing DVDs till when you don't need to be doing something else!
