It's called USB flash drive. USB means universal serial bus, the end thingy that you attach to the computer. Most computer manufacturers have adopted USB, thus it is really universal - well, except for Apple. It's a flash drive because it can store data.

A USB Drive , Flash Drive , Pen Drive , Jump Drive are all the same . These different terms are used for marketing purposes . And they may change a little with another in terms of speed and storage capacity .

I work in Cad so we as Cad person we call it " STICK " and much better to understand than flash drive. It's also tiny hard drive for files.

It's pure semantics, all those words mean the same and all are correct. But if we go purists, technically speaking we should call it a "flash memory drive", just because that's the main component of the pendrive, a chip of non-volatile flash memory. USB is the conectivity bus that makes the link only, but really has nothing to do with the storage itself. Again, that's to purist and no one will be so precise to define pendrives. Call them whatever you want or fell comfortable with. "USB drive", "flash drive", "pendrive", all are the same.
