Hughton was sacked by Newcastle earlier in the week and was replaced by Alan Pardew. I think the owner, Mike Ashley made a big mistake here. Granted Newcastle is on a bad run now but Hughton had brought the Maggies to promotion and has recorded a few good results this season. He should be given more time that this. Now, there is a fear that there will be a dressing room showdown. The players are said to be very supportive of Hughton. Will this turn of event be the downfall of Newcastle this season?

I think this is the mess that Mike Ashley is all about. Chris Hughton stuck with the club and brought them back from the Championship to the Premier League. Then he has helped them all the way up to the 11th place that too on a shoe string budget. What do you do for such achievements!! You sack him!! Ashley sucks!! And worst of all whom do you replace Hughton with Alan Pardew!! Cheers! Ram

Since I don't follow the Premier League and I don't know who Hughton is, I cannot say too much about this. All I know is that I wouldn't sack a coach during a season, I would always take decisions after the season is over. You know how they say, important is where you are at the end not in the middle of a competition.
