Have you read this Guideline in mylot?

The mylot don't guidelines - This is one of the MyLot guideline that states "Thank everyone that respond or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earning" which most users fail to do.

I read the MyLot guidelines today and one of the guidelines is "Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earning." That mean do not say Thank you to all the users who respond on your discussions because this will not be counted as your earnings. I am shock about this because I often see other users doing this and including me sometimes in my other discussions. How about you? Are you doing this?

I am so pleased to see that you have read and understood that guideline. We are allowed to say 'thank you' along with something else but not only 'thank you' or 'thank you for your response' etc. as that is not furthering the topic at all. MyLot is for discussions and when we start a topic it should be something that will cause a discussion and not just a question that needs an answer - for which we would then thank the user who responded.

Yes, simply saying "thank you" and nothing else only shows that the discussion starter doesn't have anything else to say about a particular response and adds nothing to the discussion except eat more space on the page. I do say thank you too, to be polite, but always with something else interjected that would also at least acknowledge what the responder has stated.

I also agree that simply saying thank you does not contribute and really not worth applying. I will sometimes say thanks for dropping by but it comes way after my way too long two paragraphs of my commenting.

You mean to say that sometimes you only type two paragraphs?

I can't view the image coz i'm having problems with the server but i think you read it all wrong. I think it means "don't say ONLY 'thank you' to those who responds to your discussions". You should also express what you think of the response you got coz obviously 'thank you' means you just accepted the response and didn't think about any holes to the idea the other user gave you.

Maybe I have poor eye sight now. But check the guidelines when your server is on the go and won't see word "ONLY". To rephrase the guideline it says "Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earning." I didn't see any word like "ONLY". As what I have said, the guideline is too General and often misinterpreted. So I am glad that this discussion is being brought up to clarify. Thank for the nice response.

I've read it. It means merely thanking someone for their comment won't earn you anything. You should at least give some shed of opinion coming from you.

It is really good that this discussion came up. When I was a new user that guideline had me confused. I thought it meant I could not comment back at all to the people who responded to me. In looking back I can see how wrong that would be because there are places for comments. I was just not to go through and Thank all responders for simply responding. When you bring up these matters to discuss you get good viewpoints from several experience members.

Yeah you are right and it seems like almost all are already aware about this already so I am glad that a lot of experienced mylotters did contribute to this discussion. This is very helpful to new members. Thank you.

What they mean is that this is a discussion. Do not just go back into the discussion and repeatedly say, "Thank you for your response". You can of course thank the person but be a bit more creative and personal in your response. That's all that means.

I read the guidelines and i knew that. I also do that where i thank users for responding. i dont thank them because i want money i just thank them because i feel that is the right polite way of doing things. I like when people respect me so i respect others as well. But its been a while since i look on the guidelines still. I am going to read it again to see if any changes was made to it recently.

That is a wise thing to do that others need to follow. I am going to do that also, I did learned a lot from the guideline.

yes sometimes i do that.but i dont do it for money.if i know him before and if he is commenting after such a long time i generally do that.i dont think that admin would not find any guity to that litle of showing of respect. but sometimes i dont write thank you if the comments are same repeatitive and boring..

i usually don't just say thank you when commenting on a response... but i also add other things which is related to the topic being discussed... i know from long time ago that we are not allowed to just say thank you when commenting and it won't add to our earnings... that's why i never do it... take care and have a nice day...

Certainly. I do say thank you, but I also added some sentences to it with regards to what the responder said. That will enhance the topic and make it stand out even more rather than plainly saying thank you.
