i think yes, because most of the jobs today are looking for the applicants who have pleasing personality, this is so unfair, but admit it. this is the reality..

Your definition of beauty may be different from my definition. So I don't know what you mean by 'less fortunate' because I don't think I've come across anyone who was really ugly. But I think the option should be there so that people can choose to do what they want with their lives, but I wouldn't want people to do it just for anyone else but themselves. There are many people who regret doing it too and it should be thought out thoroughly before they ever take that step, because for better or for worse, it will change you forever.

We have to admit that a good looking really affects job hunting in reality. But I think it is not most important and can't guarantee people to be good workers in future. In Contrary, now that they much focus on their lookings, they would not concentrate on their work and at last succeed.

I think we are all beautiful and unique in our own way. Very few really need plastic surgery. We think we do but we don't. Some that may have a crooked nose and unable to breath correctly now that person needs plastic surgery. Most plastic surgery is done our of personal vanity. I saw a women on a television show that had had so much of it that she was grotesque looking. Realistically beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you yourself may see as beauty may look very different to someone else.

Though it is the reality, what I could say is , no one should another's looks and make a decision. They should be beautiful from inside.

I'm not against modernization but i think plastic surgery is becoming more and more like a habit to some people, especially the ones that can afford it. I've seen modified faces and, for the love of God, they don't look close from natural. And they even deny they had plastic surgery when it's all too obvious they had one with just one glance at their faces. The truth is, yeah, an ugly face is not the best sight for employers but a modified one due to plastic surgery could be the worst sight an employer had seen. When you say "pleasing personality", doesn't it mean personality from the inside? Because i know a lot of human resources recruitment agent who doesn't go for the looks. They base their judgement purely on the person's personality, that is, his/her attitude, how he/she answers the questions being asked of him/her, how he/she smiles and how frequent he/she does it. It's based purely on the attitude of the applicant so i don't think looks is that much of a factor if you're looking for job unless you're looking to be a model or an actor.
