Dear Mylot Friends,
It's been a while since my last logged in in Mylot. I've been busy with work since i moved from the Philippines to Washington, DC. Job is quite exciting and challenging. But don't worry, I susrvived my first three months here battling the changes in weather and dealing with different types of persons and situations. I have a great team. They're very supportive and hardworking. We are working with homeless and runaway youths in Washington, DC and we are preparing them for Independent Living.
I posted a photo that I hope you will appreciate. Happy New Year my dear Mylot friends. I will appreciate hearing updates from you. What happened to you the last quarter of 2010 and what's up for 2011.

Hiya Winky! Glad to hear you are doing well in the good 'old US of A! I am hopeful that 2011 will be better for me and the astrology forecast for the year is looking good, so that's cheered me up..same as seeing you in that wonderful coat. Colour is great isn't it? I would ban the colour beige if I could lol.

You both made my day. Thanks for all you inputs about colors. Don't worry i love them both--beige and purple but my favorite color is yellow. LOL. The nanny lines were awesome! Thanks Bing.
Anyways, thanks for the update and I am happy to hear from both of you again. I hope things will work out right for all of us this year. More blessings be poured out to us and oour families! Power hugs.

Hi Guys! I'm not surprised Winky, that you like the colour yellow. Awesome isn't it? In the summer I shall make a point of having my picture taken wearing a bright yellow top that I love, and I shall upload it on MyLot. I've also ordered some purple Pixie boots so I guess your coat inspired me for the colour!

Yellow is such a great color. Any gloomy and dark colors when blended or match with yellow create a tremendous impact. Nice to know that my color is the 2011's color. cheers!

Hi Sree,
Really? That's so nice of you to be thinking of me and missing me here. Thanks. Happy New Year to you and your family too! My kids were sick during the new year's day. they just stayed home and we did videocam and chat while i am at work then. I admired my husband so much for his loving care and support that even without me by our sons side, he provided everything for them. Right now they're doing fine and back to they're back to school.

At least you have all the time to be with your family. I miss those stories of yours about your kids. My youngest had his tooth pulled too last month. He was so proud telling me about it. That's a fairy like shot, ms, you can pass on as Sleeping Beauty's kid sister, ha ha. I am glad you are coping with the challenges of your new home. Back here, the weather is totally puzzling. Bicol area and Mindanao are being flooded with mudslides in every baranggay. But the metropolis is getting a face lift. The dredging of the highways are ongoing. Skyscrapers are sprouting in The Fort. And the manhunt for Panfilo Lacson continues. Oh, the criminals for the Vizconde massacre were set free. Sigh! A reassessment of our laws is a must. We still need heroes to do that...

Well, i am loving it my friend. actually, this season the common color of the gifts that i received from friends here were color violet. violet and yellow a perfect combination---"ube-keso" ice cream flavor hehehe!

I am happy to hear from you and that latest updates about what's happening in our beloved country. I called my family in Bicol and their doing fine despite heavy rains during the holiday season. I hope things will get better this year for ouor country.

Hey, I'm back. I know this is rather late but, well, better late than never, as they say. There's been so much going on since you left us here in the Philippines.
Been so busy with annual gov't. reports well at least now I'm done with them, and what a relief! When things get so heavy here in the office that's when I really miss you because I don't have someone to invite to have lunch out or just to sit in my office to relax and talk about (our) online tasks. Miss those moments

Nice to hear from you again. It's been so long since we had our date here. I miss the sharing over lunch, the "pangungulit" with you even if I know how busy you are and of course those dramas and "kakikayans". I hoe we can find time to chat and give each other support online

First of all, I have to say that it is good to hear from you. I was actually thinking about you not all that long ago. I'm glad to hear that your move hasn't been too rough. I imagine that the change in temperature hasn't been so great though.
For us, the last quarter of 2010 was not really all that fun, we let a supposed friend of mine stay with us for a while and that was the biggest mistake that I've made in a long time, she ended up stealing a couple of our checks and my debit card from me. It hasn't been fun to deal with the legal aspect of that at all.

Hi Dorann,
I am so touched that you remembered me during my absence here in mylot. Thanks! I've confined in my room for almost three days now. I suffered from flu, colds, migraine and sorethroat. But i feel better now. That's why i was able to check and respond on here.
Sad to hear that it happened to you my friend despite you goodness. I can relate with you as it also happened to us in the Philippines. Helping others and ended up losing and being the bad person in the end. I will include you and your friend in my prayers that she/he realized her/his wrong doings.
