I just Hate it When you tube delete Videos..

Yeah, I know I know, it's all about the COPYRIGHT thing and in some videos are even blocked in my country to watch it. ever since youtube became so so popular, things had been changing lately. but before i used to have watch and complete a single movie by simply watching it in youtube. Now, that youtube has become popular a lot of movies in complete parts are being removed some how and i had my other movies removed to because of so called copyright even though already put a DISCLAIMER on it.
I had some of my personal sims 2 videos music change because of Superman's songs being claimed even if the animation is superman. since then, i started but not entirely hate youtube. they're so popular now that some are just too strict but i guess that's the way with popular sites.

This is the reason why I haven't uploaded a video in Youtube. 
I don't want to get disappointed or frustrated because of that strict policy.
To maintain a certain standard, perhaps, that's why they are doing this.
But, what I do not understand is that why we from the Philippines are banned from viewing some particular videos. Are they scared such videos might be copied? Silly me, but, just a thought, though.:)

Hello Eureka,
I wish they would give us list on those countries they banned for watching certain movies. i find it very discriminating they would do this to our country. whereas some of our people become so popular from youtube. i mean, there are websites that is used to copy the youtube videos, that's something the admin should take care of and not the other way around

I sometimes get offended when the video i intend to view is not available in our country or worse, USED to be available. Ouch! Kinda ask "WHY oh, why?". It such a discriminating thing, indeed. 
I think they can not prevent some nuisance people to copy videos from their site and be published to another. Well, it is there problem but as someone who enjoys watching video clips from Youtube , it has become MY problem, too.:(

Putting up material that you don't own has always been against the rules at YouTube. The reason they've been stepping up on getting that material off is because they've been SUED multiple times. Not because they're popular now. Though the popularity did have an influence.
It's against the rules even if you put a disclaimer. If you don't own it, you're not allowed to distribute it. It's really that simple.

So much as a few clips or a few sound effects is enough to trip the sensors and get your stuff pulled off. There are some things you can use for free but you have to read everything carefully and check ownership and copyright licenses. It sounds complicated, but it's what real filmmakers have to do all the time to use stuff that they didn't create. And not all real filmmakers are rich studio gurus, there's loads of dirt poor independent filmmakers out there.
The best route to go is to use only stuff that you filmed and recorded or you got explicit permission to use.

You're right about putting up something that we don't own. except that the videos i made were my own and not some piled up video thing from other sources, a few but not the whole scene just some second special effects. no wonder you tube lasted this long. i guess it's better for them than closing because of some Lawsuits later.

I understand it too but some how, youtube is making itself less famous when removing something that is not on the VHS or BETAMAX. I feel sad, they are over doing it. Some videos re emerged but with a different tag name and title of it. Some videos in my playlist are now gone, I feel sad about it. It's nice we have something in common have a great day.
