I saw this movie Precious today and was touched by it. It is a story of a girl/woman who was sexually violated since she was three years old all under the knowledge of the mother who was also physically abusive of the girl. A touching and true story of all the Precious of this world who remained steadfast with a dream in spite of her experiences.
I like movies that remain with you and makes you reflect even after watching it. How about you?

I remember seeing this movie in the cinema and it had a lot of good reviews. It's a really sad story regarding what happened to this girl and how she had to deal with the abuse and so forth. I think that her story was very inspirational and will definitely inspire a lot of people going through the same ordeal. I like movies like this as they really get you thinking about what is happening in the world.
Her mother was bitter and self-centred and overall the movie proved to be a real eye opener. Anyway, I will probably watch it again when I purchase the dvd. Andrew

Hi Andrew! I agree with you that the movie is an eye opener particularly for those who may not be aware of domestic violence and abuse. Particularly for the victims for the reaction are not the same. There are those who get despondent and hopeless and there are those who fight and survive their ordeal.

hi figurativeme I have not seen that but I do love movies
that make you think and feel if they are true to the real
stories. but truthfully as a survivor of a dad who molested'
me
just once at 8years old, I cannot watch that kind of
mnovie as it makes me feel ill. You see the d amage that
that thoughtless fool did to me at 8 cost me any chance of
