RCB trying to force Manish Pandey to sign the contract, is it right?

According to news reports it was said that, Manish Pandey rejected the RCB offer and showed interest in Pune Warriors' offer. But RCB is trying threaten and file a complaint. The funny thing is, RCB itself is trying to snatch Ambati Rayudu from Mumbai Indians and did approach him for a contract! Now, if they think they can sign Rayudu for RCB, then why not let Manish to play for Pune? They didn't even care for local players during the auction. So don't you think, RCB is trying to be a dictator? And Don't you think Manish has the freedom to choose the contract that he wants? Saurabh Tiwari gets 7 Crore something just because he was in auction (he was included in auction because he played for national team, that is what one rule to be a capped player) and Manish gets some 10 to 20 lacks because he was UNCAPPED player. And that too because BCCI changes rules for uncapped players at the last moment! So what do you think about this injustice happening to some players? Share your views Happy Mylotting!

I am not aware of the legal intricacies of capped and uncapped players but I know one thing India is place where justice of law rules. If as per the rules Manish Pandey is bound by his contract with R.C.B. then he should honour it and improve his game and make himself capable to be included in the India team and be a capped player next time round. same thing applies to Ambati Rayadu also.

Yes, if rules are there then one should abide by it. But the point is how RCB can approach a other team's player but when other team approaches their player they can't take it. Isn't it double standards?

It is for the Mumbai Indians to claim for their rights. After all all franchises are business houses they will certainly run after what is good for their business It is for the controlling body to see that no injustice is done to anybody and game is played fairly.

No self respecting person will do a thing himself and ask others not to do the same. Whether it is business or life. Business doesn't mean there are no ethics. Controlling body won't try to do the justice unless someone raises the voice or sues them! Happy mylotting!

Looking from RCB's perspective, They are right to feel angry with Manish , because it is this team that brought him into the limelight.RCB also has to compulsorily pick up three players from their catchment area which is Karnataka & Manish is from that place. Looking from manish's point of you , he will get same money irrespective of which team he joins due to BCCI guidelines. Some of benefits he may look for is : more chances to play regularly ( Like RR), Chance to play under Dhoni ( CSK). Extra payment under the table. If he is looking for extra payment he has certainly broken the code of conduct which is similar to Jadeja's offence. I do not think any form of injustice is done to players. What would they have done had ipl not started ? If Manish is looking for a change only for cricketing reasons, then RCB is at wrong for pressurizing him. Alas ! we will never know the truth.

I think your points are right, but there are some points in IPL which doesn't look like justifiable BCCI changing rules for uncapped players at the last moment. The rule not being applied to foreign uncapped players and it is applicable only Indian uncapped players Those with 3 ipl experience getting the same treatment as the new inexperienced players Not having clear cut plan for uncapped players. Otherwise RCB wouldn't approach Rayudu while they themselves get angry when Pune approaches Manish! And most of all if Manish didn't play well no one would be interested in him. So it applies both the way. IPL helped Manish and he is helping IPL franchises. When Rayudu can play for Mumbai Indians, definitely Manish can play for Pune. Rayudu is from Hyderabad so should have been with Deccan Charges as RCB is trying to do with Manish. Happy Mylotting!

Well said. Manish Pandey should definitely go with his choice. The concept of capped and uncapped players really sucks. I mean it does not make any sense, coz if a player is good he shd be paid his worth then let him play on international level or gulli cricket.

You are right, recently they have clarified that players will have the final say. So this kind of issues will be solved amicably I guess. Happy mylotting!

I think this mess is of BCCI's making. Late rule changes for the uncapped Indians was going to trigger such actions. Anyhow the moment Vijay Mallya said that people are going to do underhanded tricks and all franchisees should play fair, I was pretty sure that Mallya was up to his old tricks. So I am not at all surprised with such issues surfacing now!! Let's see how this pans out or whether we have more murky IPL moments!! Cheers! Ram

You are spot on! yes BCCI not being clear and doing some unjustifiable things is what responsible for this kind of issues. Happy Mylotting!
