I think many of you got misleaded by youtube many times because many people are using misleading thumbnails as a way of getting views. I was watching a video in youtube when I saw a thumbnail of a "human cat dog" what do I mean.... well a Siamese twin human that will remind you of the cartoon character catdog,(google catdog if you dont know who they are) I got intrigued...2 human torsos attached together with no legs. I clicked it.. Damn It was some fat guy who thinks he is an exercise Guru instructing Upper and lower body exercises and he is just using that freaky thumbnail so people will watch his pathetic videos. He is attacked in comment section and he got flagged many times but his misleading thumbnail video is not banned because youtube gave him partnership. he got Millions of views but lots of dislikes to and only 900 people liked his pathetic videos. all of his videos have lots of thumbs downs and rude comments because of his cheap gimmick.

This is proof that even partners will add a stupid, unrelated thumbnail just to get views. Originally Youtube saved thumbnail uploads for partners only because they couldn't trust the entire community with it. Hopefully, Youtube will see that even partners will abuse that privilege.

Its really annoying if you got misleaded, I noticed that when partners do violations they dont get banned, I'm a partner my self but I dont use misleading thumbnails to get views.

They don't get banned?! Wow Youtube really needs to clean that up. -.- Anyway, I would be mad too. Expecting to see something interesting only to find it's just ridiculous. In my opinion, Youtube needs to hire a better a moderation team, or get one if there isn't one.

Yeah when people gets partnership they seemed to have immunity from getting banned because youtube makes money out of them even if they make violations. I have partnership but I dont do awful stuff like misleading videos,.

Hello! I see what you mean. There was also a fat guy [Shay something] that was putting irrelevant thumbnails tiles and descriptions at his videos on YouTube.[And most of his videos were most of time on the Youtube Homepage] . I saw that a lost of his videos were like that... If you got interested in subject A... you would be automatically inserted in that sad guy's family videos. There are also a lot of good channels [like music channels] that opt to use as thumbnails more sensual pictures or screenshots from video.. I hate that.. I want music not "Pron"! I guess everyone's out chasing money without thinking about the quality of their work or the appreciation for that manner. That's just sad.

Yeah, I am also a victim of those misleading thumbnails and not only that but with misleading titles too! I really hate it when things like that happens because I feel like it just wasted my time and so frustrating to see that its not what I am expected. It just blow the excitement away and makes me really disappointed...

I remember I was lookign for the music video of a certain song and the title says official music video, Then damn its just a slide show of the singer's picture or a machinima made out of sims 2. Who are they fooling.

Yeah, I've come across that when I do a regular search for something and I see a video and a thumbnail that both look like they're relevant to what I searched for. But when I watch it's something completely different, and probably something I would have never wanted to watch in a million years. It's pretty darn annoying.

It's never good to market something as something it's not. You may get more views, but you'd wind up with more people who hate you. So which is better? Have a fan base that actually likes and supports you or have no fan base but lots of views?

People were doing it to get views and partnership but its not a good way, why dont they just be honest, and market their videos the way it should be and not what its not. Its worst than being rick rolled to me.

yeah, Its better to have lots of views because people likes your videos and not because they hate you.
