Why should we talk more about religion when we can talk more about Christ?

Whenever there is a discussion about Jesus Christ, I always hear religion being part of the discussion. I think that we can talk more about Jesus Christ rather than religion. I observed and experienced that talking about religion doesn't benefit us much, much more glorify God. It is better to talk more about the Saviour than talking about religion since it just divides instead of unite. What's your view about this? Thank you and blessing to you.

Many of us talk about religion because Jesus plays no part in our religion. It is easer to discuss religion when we do not make it a cult of personality or center our discussion on an unneeded and unwanted saviour. There are many gods and many religions in this world. Some religions give more consideration as to how an individual relates to and can be a benefit to society as a whole rather than concern themselves with an incessant obsession with personal salvation.
