It seems that we are as busy as a bee that even 24 hours is not enough for us to fulfill and complete all our daily tasks. Sometimes, we are running out of time, hardly have the time to breathe because there are jobs to attend to, kids to take care and look after, household chores to finish and a lot more that occupy our minds and keep our hands full. But despite of us being busy, why we still feel the boredom?

You are right. Sometimes we feel that 24 hrs. is not good enough for a day when compared to our works. Work, travel, personal work and household matters and even for few hrs. of entertainment also not happily fulfilled. Many are not getting good sleep even in a week ends. Only what we can do is, just priorities our works and arrange everything as per the time and need. If we do not plan the the schedules and works, it will be a totally mess and we never have enough time to do anything. Keep the things, very urgent, urgent, important, less important and normal - if the entire things are categorised and properly allocated time and effort accordingly, we can bring the things under control and within a period of time, we can be able to do the things in a sorted or healthy manner. Thank-s

Hello, Thanks. I believe you are a well organize individual since you have clearly stated/demonstrated what must be done in order to achieve our daily goals without putting too much stress on ourselves. Yes, proper planning and timing really helps for the fulfillment of a particular goal. But, I'd say, it needs practice in order to successfully apply this method. I'll try to do it, gradually.:)

Hi there. Yeah, you make sense. Doing indeed something that you are not happy doing will give you dissatisfaction. It will have the tendency of making you feel bored because you lack the interest in such task. It makes sense.

well, i'm not that busy and even when i'm doing something, i sometimes get bored. just the type of person that easily gets bored. the things that makes me occupied the most is my work. i get really tired after that but i still go online after work then sleep. when i wake up, just in time to take a bath. then work again. sometimes at work, we have nothing much to do so i walk around and find something to do. sometimes i go out and walk while listening to the music. i don't like sitting and doing nothing. well it's ok to just sit but at least am thinking something good.

hello eureka, You will feel bored if you don't like what you are doing. We need to be happy always for everything we did. Okay, what you've wrote here sounds monotonous, and boring. Maybe becoz you feel like doing the same thing all over everyday. Then, try to make another routine job. Like, instead of doing your laundry every weekend...why not try to wash clothes at weekdays, during night time...wash at least one load of washing machine...so during weekends instead of spending it for laundry then you can spend some time for yourself. Just a suggestion...just try to re-schedule or make some twists of your routine thou it's still the same workload. Have a good day

hello again , I always think if saving electricity, water and soap before, that is why i used to wash clothes every weekends (whole day and too tired) then,i feel bored and feel pity of myself...becoz after doing the laundry i still need to do other household chores (cleaning, cooking, washing dishes etc) Ok...then,one day i feel fed up (ugh....) electric /water bills still the same no matter how i tried to save .. so..what i did is,why not change the routine. that is how it started. I wash a load every night or early afternoon before cooking dinner. So,on weekends thu i still need to wash kids school uniforms,it wont take me a whole day of doing the laundry. I wash kids uniforms on Friday evening,so on Saturday we can go out somewhere and have fun. Same thing on Sunday, then iron uniforms at night. But now,my kids are grown ups...they're a great help to me. I can't even remember how they've grown up that fast...i miss their toddler days. So,better enjoy every moment with your kids now that they are still young..you will surely missed that once they've grew up dear...that i promised you...you will missed that moments...so enjoy while they're still kids. Time will come that you can't kiss and hug them in public ...i missed it now..really. have a good day

Hi there, Jaiho. You are probably right. I am doing those things on exactly the same date and time over and over again. Sometimes, I can even do them with my eyes closed. So, I followed your advise. Just today, I spent the whole day tinkering the keyboard while playing with my kids. Good thing husband wasn't around until 8 pm. And just after tucking the kids to bed, I ate my dinner, though it was quite late but I had a peaceful one.Did the dishes, and, what do you know, I even did my laundry which I scheduled to do supposedly tomorrow. Whoah! . Tomorrow, err, later today, it'll going to be a different scenario and I'm excited to see the result of the sudden shift in schedules. Thanks, dear.

I think that as we do all of these things in a day, we fall into a routine. That all these tasks would just become as something to get over with. And I think this is where boredom comes in. We would want something else to happen. Something exciting that would wake us up from the doldrum. And while we wait for this 'something', we get bored out of our minds. That in between tasks, we find listless time that should have been spent finishing the tasks in the first place.

Hello eureka, Just because of the repetition. I wakes up at the same time every morning ( I really wanted to throw the mobile when the alarm bells rings, need to sleep some more) and do the same work at kitchen, prepare the food for kids and make them for school, then do other pending works and rushing to office. I felt many times that yesterday also I did the same thing and in evening also upon reaching then take care of the kids hunger and studies……. Some times I too felt boring…. If I felt so then it may affects my whole works so I will try my best to do the works in a flow.

Hi eureka... Actually, i like to call it as monotonousness. Not a boring life but as we have living in the same routine... it seems bored because the same life style is quiet unbearable hence we act as bored one but in real we are habituate to it. Have a nice day.

Greetings! For me the reason why we still feel boredom its because same things happen everyday. Its just a cycle. You do things today that you did yesterday and what you'll do for tomorrow so we feel like we wanted change. We wanted to do something interesting. We got bored with the usual things we do everyday so its important to relax on weekends. Weekdays are so stressing and boring but we have to overcome it or for us not to be bored, we have to enjoy what we're doing by looking at the good side and advantages of even a single thing we do everyday. :) In that way, we wouldn't be bored. :)

Hi eureka, It is nice to be contributing to your discussions after long time. It is true we are busy 24 hours a day including those 6-7 hours we are busy performing important part of daily routine that is sleep. I for one start my working day at 7.30 in the morning and end at 11.00 in the night with brief breaks as and when I require. I still get bored amidst this busy schedule. Boredom I feel is a state of mind which may occur due to number of reasons one of them being the one our earlier contributor has pointed out doing something one does not like. One important point I would like to mention is frustration in the life. Sometimes I log into mylot open up number of discussion topics but close it just like that where normally I would have contributed. I attribute this to boredom due to frustration.

How could you be bored if you are busy and have a lot of things in your mind? When one is busy, he has no time to think of thinking about other things, specially if you are that focused on your job. You could be bored because maybe you don't like your job, that everytime you are on it, you feel as if it's boring. But if you love what you are doing , there will never be a dull moment. I guarantee you that.

Maybe what you need is just a holiday and a few days relax, people can not always doing one thing that they do not interested in,but sometimes, life is being fulfilled is much better than a vacuous life, because you have something to do.
