I think Yahoo Radio does something like that ... I tried it out a long time ago; it's probably way-different now - - - The Internet Age: making us into old geezers in our prime!

You sure can, depending on your skill level, knowledge, or willingness to put in some time and effort to learn about it and actually try it. You have a few options the first one being setting up a dedicated server on your own personal pc and broadcasting through that. The upside to this is you have a little more control over it. There is also no fee's then from any hosting companies. A few pieces of software that allow you to do this is, Shoutcast, Helix server (or basic server can't remember the exact name), quicktime streaming, quicktime broadcaster and a few more. Shoutcast would possibly be the easiest and most user friendly. The other option of course is paying for a host for your streaming such as live365.com, ubroadcast.com and another few (possibly more now days since its becomming more popular). For trial and error to see if you enjoy it maybe set up a free one for you get friends, family to listen in but don't think of them that way necessarily just until you get the idea of it and used to it. Then you can always look at other methods, example: hosting. It's not as difficult as you would think Goodluck
