Have you ever climbed to the top of the tower in Edinburgh.

Many years ago when I was a student, I visited Edinburgh and there was this famous tower with over 100 steps. I climbed to the top and had a glorious view of the city. I have been trying to remember the name. I think it was after a famous poet, not sure, does anyone know the name.

The Scott monument you mean? I think that's one of the things I haven't done in Edinburgh yet, but I'll be there for two days in some weeks. If the weather is good I might do it then, I like doing something new every time I revisit a place. I think I might also go to North Berwick and go on a boat trip to watch the gannets. Fantastic sight :-9

Scotland is a beautiful country, there is so much history there too, its great being able to visit the places that you read about in history books.

I remember walking by the Scott monument when I last visited Edinburgh a couple years ago. However, I haven't walked to the top of the monument. I didn't even know that it had stairs or anything like that.
