I'm not a health expert so would like to know more about the similarities or the connection of infertility and irregular menstruation. Since I started having my menstruation, I've been experiencing abnormal menstruation cycle. Friends have been telling me about not being able to bear a child because of my condition. Would this be true?

Well I am not adept with this but I think the two are basically interrelated with each other. Usually those having irregular menstrual cycle means there is something wrong with her ovulation cycle which means it is hard to pinpoint when are you fertile and when are you infertile periods. But one thing I am sure that not all irregular menstruation doesn't necessarily means you are infertile. It just means it may be hard to target your fertile and infertile periods in a certain cycle. When you are declared as infertile means you are not capable of rearing a child in your womb. The fact that you still are having irregular menstruation means that you are still ovulating which means you still are fertile at times and it can be corrected still to become regular.

Hi rsa101! Thanks for that. It somehow cleared something on mind. All of those chit chats about having a baby and such kept running on my mind. :)

It is still best to consult your OB Gyne on this matter to confirm anything that you doubt about your situation. I guess they are the best persons to consult to and can give you the best advice that you can have.

Mensturation is certainly linked to fertility, but for correct answer you need to visit O& G expert, she may give some medicines to make the periods regular, thnxs for sharing cheers kalyani
