Can I connect a external DVD/CD player burner to a netbook or notebook?

Hi I dont know much about the smaller PC on the market such as netbook, and notebooks but I'm aware that they dont usually come with DVD/CD burner players My question is can I or would it be posible to buy a external DVD/CD player burner and connect it to a notebook or notebook computer? really want to know thanks.

Yes you can, as long as you still have slot for USB plugs and compatible to your OS.

USB ones, as stated above, will connect fine. But if you have a regular ATA or SATA type from a PC, then you can buy adaptors to do the job. They are damn expensive and you'll also need an external power supply. So yes, it is possible but it might be cheaper to buy a new USB unit if you haven't already got one.

Yes, of course you can. You need to get an external unit with a USB connection which you can then just plug into one of the netbooks USB ports. You can get external floppy drives as well with USB connection.
