yeah i have come across that also, LMAO.... but i gather that it became an expression which means what it does not really mean... greetings. : )

it stands for "laughing out loud" you use it if you think something is funny. if you are reading some thing that makes you laugh you would type lol. hope this helps.

i guess by now you should know that it stands for Laughing Out Loud. I normally use that to tell people that i'm laughing. It's convey a much better expression than ;0) LOL

Laughting Out Loud!! That is ususally used when you have found something funny. But, sometimes it is also used when you are joking or JK. JK usually means Just Kidding!! Hope that helps! And all you say is L-O-L! That's it!!!!!
