Real Madrid have signed Adebayor on loan until the end of the season! Real Madrid has been looking for a high class forward to help them on their quest for a la liga and champions league title, and they've found one in adebayor. he's a great striker and didn't get a lot of playing time at man city. With higuain's injury that will keep him out for the majority of the rest of the season, adebayor is a fitting replacement. Madrid have the option to buy Adebayor permanently at the end of the season for 18 million euros. I think Adebayor could do well at Madrid, but we'll have to wait and see- some strikers have underperformed before, such as Ibrahimovic at Barcelona. What are your thoughts on Adebayor's move to Real Madrid?

After a 1 season wonder with Arsenal where he scores 30 goals in all competetion, he thinks and claim he is a good as Thierry Henry and demand a huge pay rise. But when Arsenal refuse to give him as he demand because Arsenal have a salary cap and he demand more than Arsenal have paid Thierry Henry, he enginerred his move for a bigger money club and he got it when he sign for ManC. After his goals against Arsenal and his non-profesional attitude against arsenal fans and players, he just not as good as he was with Arsenal. now he sulk about not playing regularly. Now he is at Real Madrid. Do I think he will do well there? Maybe, because La Liga is not as physical as the premier league. But maybe he will become another shadow of more outstanding players like Christiano Ronaldo and Kaka. Because of that, he like to be the main man, I don't think he will as happy as he was when he still wearing Arsenal jersey.

I completely agree with you. Adebayor is not a professional. Success goes into his head.

that is true adebayor sometimes has a non-professional attitude which is probably why he didn't play at man city and why he left. maybe his attitude will change now

I think both Benzema and Higuain are better strikers than Adebayor so he'll hardly find his place in the team.

I was actually surprised that Mourinho moved in for Adebayor. I think they first went for Ruud Van Nistlerooy and when Hamburg rejected that bid, they moved in for Adebayor. I am not sure where he will fit in the Madrid team when he is struggling to hold on to his position in Man City's team!! Cheers! Ram

that might need to buy another forward as well- the back-up to adebayor is karim benzema, but what other forward do they have with higuain being out for the majority of the season?

And so Adebayor move to another new club. He is a slightly above average striker but his ego sure is very big. Not only that, he is a troublemaker. First at Arsenal and then at Man City. Now that he is at Real and under Mourinho, it will be interesting to see the both of them clash.

I think Mourinho signed him as a back up since he is short of strikers. Still, its a bad signing. Adebayor is not worth it. He is a selfish player and I don't see Real benefiting from him. Barcelona are sure favorites to win the La Liga.

yeah but keep in mind he's only on loan so real didn't really lose any money.

Being a Real hater, I hope this transfer will be a bad one. But I think that Adebayor is a good striker and he will score a few goals for his new team. Knowing that Mourinho is one of the greatest leaders in the history, he will manage to discipline Adebayor and make him play well.

I do not believe it .Adebayor is a good player, but he had little loyalty.Because of money,he betray Gunner, now,he do the same thing. In Madrid, there are many better players than him just like in Man city,so I feel he can not succeed in Madrid.

I think this is an excellent move for Real Madrid and also for Adebayor, since he was most of time a substitute at Manchester City, and I really think he's an extraordinary player and he didn't deserve to spend so much time on the bench;I'm sure the fans of Real Madrid will be pleased with his evolutions and eventually Real will pay the 18 million dollars in the summer.Let's just wait and see if he can play again like he did for Arsenal or even better.

I think he fits the profile Mourinho likes, kind of like Drogba in Chelsea, Ibrahimovich in Inter, and he wanted to have another solution for that position in the field because Real Madrid is competing in all fronts. On a recent interview Mourinho said he wanted another forward, was it for free, for a million or even rented eheh, and there goes Adebayor. Mourinho will surely polish him to the gameplay at his style.

Adebayor on loan is a great move for Real Madrid they don't have to pay him and he's only there until the end of the season. If he shines he may get a contract to play for them but if he doesn't his loan will end and Real won't have to waste money on him. Though I could see him staying when his loan is up and Benzema going to Man City. Benzema I think will do great in the English league and Mourinho will have Higuain/Adebayor to pick from every game. If this trade goes down watch out for Real next year.
